You really think Amazon needs helps running other companies out of business?
You ought to rethink that.
Amazon is doing that using the capitalism you bow to.

I agree with that. But until that is done you won't have anything that looks like good regulation. Corrupt politicians can't created good regulation. The best politicians with the best intentions create bad regulations with unintended consequences. Corrupt politicians just create bad regulations. Our politicians are very easily corrupted. Do you really think corrupt politicians create good regulation?
I think we need to get the obscene amount of MONEY out of politics
ANd we can start by recognizing that corporations are NOT people and make campaign laws reflect that realization
what groundbreaking things have socialism/communism ever contributed to this world
Amazon is getting a whole lot of help from the government. The government is picking winners and losers by offering one company a sweet tax deal over another. You really think Amazon needs helps running other companies out of business?
You ought to rethink that.

We won't have good capitalism until we make it much more difficult to corrupt our politicians. As long as they are easily bought cronyism will rule.Strict regulation often leads to more cronyism.I'm a free market capitalist. Free markets is good capitalism. Neither party is for free market capitalism.
Do free markets require strict government regulation to make them fair?
You're right that neither party promotes or supports a market system.
Without question and without fail.
We have deeper (state) problems that ensure no honest government can exist.
The leader of a failed coup walks free to appear on hate night TV with the bush league comics. Yes, a free market would benefit all, but we are not a free nation.
Social security, Medicare, public schools, fair electionsMost every advancement in technology, medicine, agriculture, transportation, communication, construction, energy and power, etc. this world has ever seen was conceived and developed by countries that practiced a capitalist ideology. Yet many Democrats are pushing socialism, the goal of which is communism as Lenin explained.
So what groundbreaking things have socialism/communism ever contributed to this world, aside from what they stole from capitalist countries?

Here is what unregulated capitalism produces. Walmart jobs where they pay below poverty so their workers are subsidized by the government who gives these people foodstamps where they spend them at, get ready for it....Walmart.Social security, Medicare, public schools, fair electionsMost every advancement in technology, medicine, agriculture, transportation, communication, construction, energy and power, etc. this world has ever seen was conceived and developed by countries that practiced a capitalist ideology. A LOT of crops too. I mean last years socialization of our soybean farming was pretty impressive. Sure they would prefer trade partners, but with that taken away, socializing the industry is a fine choice I guess.
Trump for one. Did you read trumps book? There are two chapter 11s in his book. LolAnd Bankruptcy protection is a great one. Force the masses to take on that cost of an individuals failure in business for the greater good of the state. Lots of rich people have built their empires off of that socialist safety net.
I agree with that. But until that is done you won't have anything that looks like good regulation.

Except the injuns that still are aggrieved. But history remembers also just like this OP...It's what happens when a useless hunter-gatherer-nomad culture from the Neolithic Age meets a vastly more advanced one.around two million Native American Indians.Non-communist nations did the same and...."what has socialism and communism ever produced or manufactured"
Death and subjugation.
How many did America's "Great Leap Forward" kill?
Nature de-selected them.
But that was long ago, and most folks no longer remember, or care in the slightest.
And they pay no taxes for federal or state..A waste of infrastructure just to get a business to operate. That is bullshit. I never have gotten a tax break after thirty five years of running a business, but then again I am not a greedy robber baron.NY just gave up an opportunity to increase jobs and income tax revenue.
The richest corporation in the WORLD was demanding a 3 BILLION dollar tax break to move there despite the pressure they were going to put on the infra structure of NY
They made it into orbit before we did, and China plans on having a moon base before long, far ahead of us.Most every advancement in technology, medicine, agriculture, transportation, communication, construction, energy and power, etc. this world has ever seen was conceived and developed by countries that practiced a capitalist ideology. Next stupid question.
Yet, they stole their space and missile technology from a capitalist country, Germany. Or from us, as in the case of China.
But I will give them credit for the AK-47. That is one magnificent piece of machinery.

I haven’t discussed removing regulations. Corporate lobbyists do often get advantages for their company through regulations.I agree with that. But until that is done you won't have anything that looks like good regulation.
But rather than addressing the actual problem you put your efforts into removing regulations which makes the problem worse?
Oh...
Amazon is getting a whole lot of help from the government. The government is picking winners and losers by offering one company a sweet tax deal over another.
You seem to be arguing both sides.
Amazon tried to get that sweet deal...and the people of NY said NO

More government influence on private business isn’t good capitalism. Sounds much more like socialism....And they pay no taxes for federal or state..A waste of infrastructure just to get a business to operate. That is bullshit. Government was established to serve you and your business. If a tax break yields more jobs, lower unemployment, more individual income, and goodwill to beget more businesses and jobs, that’s not being a greedy robber baron. Further, don’t think that a Government cannot be greedy. Heavy government politicos like Hillary Clinton actually use the word “take” when it comes to business.

You asked for ONE accomplishment and now you dimiss it as "stolen". Most of the patents issued by the US Patent office, arent' American inventions. Everyone in the world files their patents in the USA because you have the strongest most protective patent laws in the world, but Americans are no brighter or cleverer than people in the rest of the world. And given the low quality of education in your country, a lot LESS educated.
