The usual context in statute of a national emergency does not fit the President's description, "I didn't need to do this." Mostly, it is a situation out of the ordinary that threatens health or safety of U. S. Nationals, not addressed in other law. Clearly words of candor, off-hand, tend to fail some kinds of people.

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
(On the matter of Climate Change, A four day dust storm even helped to postpone Nigerian National elections, just today! Many complained about traveling into unfriendly territory, suddenly just stuck there, with no apparent purpose.)

The U.S. President testified in public forum, in celebration, that in his opinion he had violated the law. "I didn't need to do this," betrays zero urgency regarding an out of the ordinary circumstance that threatens health or safety of Citizens.

In years gone by, the Courts will likely be told: The Bracero program encouraged border entry. Many noting the return back south, even now: May wonder just what the wall is really for(?).

Others have already noted that during the 24 months of GOP House Control: There appears to have been no national emergency in the middle of the Rio Grande.

Anyone at a public beach in summer understands the real threat of the tiny kids use of the water.

"Crow, James Crow: Shaken, Not Stirred!"
(Lawful labor suddenly a "National Emergency;" Is likely not how many in the agri-business sector see it! If truth were told, the stupid pig with the giant trunk on its face actually got it all wrong, and completely!)
