I'm glad that when I went to college from the early to mid 1980's, we didn't have the liberal indoctrination you see on virtually EVERY college campus today. It didn't matter WHAT political ideas you had and free speech and debate were the norm in the 1980's. Not so today, and that's very sad.It will take two generations at least....to have normal human beings again.

Too bad the student wasn't with the Libertarians. He would have dismantled that professor in a NY second.. The proposition that "Big Govt is Scary" is not hard at all to win... He did a reasonable job, but it's the wrong tactic to shift from issue to issue...
Because on ALL and EVERY issue, the argument is the same.. And that is that bigger more muscular govt is just a tiny brain in an ever growing body.... Just ask the prof to name all the things that CONGRESS and the bureaucracy EXCEL at...
It's a very short list.. The "establishment" or "deep state" or whatever you want to call the scripted and inflexible ways that govt operates and doles out its "customer service and relations" sucks.. The oversight and management sucks. Their ATTENTION SPAN is shorter than a toddler's and they REACT months late if at ALL to emergencies and current issues --- if AT ALL...
More and more -- the "management" does nothing... Nothing on even the BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES that the Constitution assigns them.. Like immigration, insuring fair elections, managing a budget and finances, approving judges and political appointees..
The fans of bigger more muscular govt have come out of the closet and literally BRIBING every constituency with free stuff that would NEVER be managed or even conceived correctly.. From energy policy to healthcare to the anarchic prescriptions for crippling the economy and the rule of law --- this is SCARY SHIT.. Even to folks like Hillary and Obama. And all of the probably UNconstitutional taxation methods being proposed are ill conceived and demonstrate a woefully short command of "how things work"...
Don't think AOC or Sanders could run a diner in the Ozarks. And you want MORE OF THIS???
You're out of your minds.. And most folks KNOW -- Big Govt is getting scarier every day there's comments from all the latent Socialists (and a few Commies) who think that their time is now..

But luckily NOT where I went to college. I attended Glendale Community College in Glendale, Arizona and Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. If there WERE radical leftist professors there, I didn't notice them. And I never had a professor teaching ANY of my classes that appeared to be.I'm glad that when I went to college from the early to mid 1980's, we didn't have the liberal indoctrination you see on virtually EVERY college campus today. There were plenty of radical leftist professors in the 80s as well.
