College football playoffs and bowls were aweful

As much as I hate fatty patterson. That TCU comeback was pretty epic

No offense, but who was watching that exactly?

The major bowls were a train wreck.

When the Stanford band starts playing the Farmers.com dating site them it about says it all.

So do you want to see Iowa play in a Rose Bowl against Stanford who has not gone to a Rose bowl in about 300 years or do you want to see Ohio State who won a National Championship last year with pretty much the same players?

Hell, why was Stanford and OSU both not in the playoffs?

The same teams that lose keep on losing and the same teams that win just keep on winning.

Why is this not considered with these bowl picks?

It was pretty simple to pick the two division winners for the Big 10. Ohio State lost to Michigan State. They couldn't put OSU in the Big10 championship game. And MSU beat Iowa, so they were in the playoffs.

I'm not sure why you want OSU in the playoffs. Bama would have destroyed them even more.

OSU would have at least shown up against a Bama team they beat last year.

Face it, the only coach that can beat an SEC team is an ex-SEC coach.

Clemsen may as well not show up.

The only hope of beating the SEC next year will once again be OSU.

No, I think Ohio State would have been slaughtered. Last year there was an unknown at QB and Bama was not focused at all. This year the team is serious.

Besides, OSU couldn't beat Michigan State at home and with MSU's star QB out of the game. And you saw what Bama did to MSU with their star back.

Bama lost stupid games this year as well. The only difference is, they got to go to the big dance and OSU did not.

Rest assured, when it comes to the post season Urban is always ready and soundly destroyed Michigan the last game of the year. That was a team that just destroyed Florida in a bowl.

The whole system is retarded.

The auburn rivalry has lost some of its venom in recent years, but I still love taking down the cow college.

Well, I am a bit different. I used to actually pull for Auburn when they weren't playing Bama. But that whole "fear the thumb" thing tainted me for life. I'll never pull for the barners again. Even when they are representing the SEC... just can't do it.

No... Bama lost one game by less than a TD against an SEC rival early in the season. Bama played the toughest schedule in the nation according to ESPN and OSU played teams like Rutgers and Northern Illinois all season. The only Top 10 team they played all year was MSU and they lost.

Be prepared to lose a few championships to UofM in the years to come. Harbaugh aint no joke. Your time is up. He did it at Stanford, San Fran and he will do it at Michigan. He already turned the team around after that first loss. Only REAL loss they had was against OSU. No one expected that this year. Now how do you think Harbaugh will do moving forward?

According to a report from former Detroit sports radio personality, Gregg Henson, 5-star OL recruit Greg Little could very well be the next big time recruit to flip and commit to the University of Michigan.

Little is currently committed to Ole Miss, but according to Henson, he has formed a bond with the No. 1 recruit in America, Rashan Gary, who is also favored to end up with the Wolverines.

Who wouldn't want to play for Jim Harbaugh?

I used to be ok with LSU winning their games when they're not playing Bama. That 21-0 national title game drove their fans over the edge though.

Still....nothing beats stomping the cow college.

Yeah...we've heard that before. We'll see, not impressed thus far. How many titles did he win at Stanford...oh yeah...none.

Actually he went from Stanford to the 49ers, where he got fired. Then Michigan hired him.

It ain't exactly easy to win titles at Michigan either. They've got one since 1950. Hell Auburn has more than that, and they're a mediocre program in the SEC.

We got 2.
8 more we tie Bama.
Michigan has the most all-time wins and the second highest winning percentage in college football history behind Notre Dame

How many Super Bowls did Harbaugh win?

How many BCS Championships has Harbaugh won?

Until he wins one, then he has nothing.

I've personally always liked LSU.. They are my 2nd favorite team. This irritates a lot of my Bama buddies but it's been that way since I was a kid... I think it's their colors or something. I like the Mad Hatter, I think he is great fit for them and I was glad to see them keep him. Whenever they aren't playing Bama, I am rooting like crazy for them. I also feel that way about Georgia... I have several cousins who lived in Georgia and were big fans and I lived in Georgia for a while as well. They are like siblings.

I don't like Auburn... don't care who they play or even if their winning will help Alabama... can't pull for them... just no way to make myself do it. No one will ever convince me they didn't BUY Cam Newton. They cheat but they're clever about it... In Shorter, AL, just a few miles from AU, there is a casino owned by Milton McGreggor, a big AU booster... rumor has it, they take recruiting prospects there and let them have a pull on the "magic slot machine" ...it's amazing how lucky they get! Pat Dye had a saying... "Keep it down home, cuz!"

Players who want the best chance for going to the NFL and for winning a National Championship?

If you think players select their schools based solely on the head coach, you are wrong.

But if they did, Nick Saban would be every players logical choice. More championships than any active coach. More players in the NFL than anyone but USC. And has not been out pf the AP Top 10 since 2007.

A. Not everyone can play for Nick

B. Jim and uofm can get anyone to the pros if they are good enough.

C. You can bet bama cheats. No other explanation for all that winning.

D. Id rather play for Florida Miami or USC

E. I've seen uofm and msu compete or win basketball and football championships. You guys have this one thing. What else is Alabama known for?

What else is Alabama known for?

I think they lead the nation in National Championship appearances in gymnastics. They've had a pretty decent baseball team over the years (5 times to the College World Series). In basketball, they've never won a natty but they're always fairly decent and have produced some of the top NBA players... Mo Williams, Robert Horry, Reggie King, Ennis Whatley, James Robinson, Antonio McDyess, Latrell Sprewell, Gerald Wallace... just to name a few. Golf team has won nattys, softball has won... women's soccer and volleyball have both competed for national championships.

But we're in a very competitive conference. In gymnastics for example, if Bama isn't winning the natty, Florida is. Hard to beat out Kentucky in basketball. Florida, LSU and Miss St. are all very competitive nationally in baseball.

Yep.. Run away from the conversation about who dominates in college football and start crowing about other sports! That's what you need to do because you won't ever be as great as Bama in football. :lmao:

A. No they can't. Not everyone can play for Harbaugh either.

B. Only USC has put more players in the NFL in recent years. And in the last 7 years, Bama has been in the hunt for the National Championship at the end of the regular season 5 out of the last 7 years. No other team has more exposure and more chances to be champions than the Crimson Tide.

C. Cheat? Where? Are you saying a team can't consistently win unless they cheat?

D. Some people want to play for also-ran teams. No problem. Like you said in A., not everyone can play for Saban.
