CNBC: Democrats quickly call for tighter gun laws after Las Vegas shooting massacre

Wow, shocked that the communists would take advantage of this.

Oh isn't this their play book?

Yeah, more proof the libs are nothing but political opportunistic scumbag marxists.

Liberals reaction to finding out that it was a white guy with a gun shooting country music fans.

Yeah cause if this was an Islam terror attack the right would have nothing to say about it??

Who the F are u kidding .

Well the guy did have an automatic weapon . And this was gun free Nevada . What happened to more guns more safety ?

What happened?well people bought that statement when it was made just like they buy it when they are told banning civilians from owning guns is the answer. Deep down everyone knows it's stupid but they like the attention they get when hey are outraged over the atrocity of the week. Honestly, it's a stupid question posed by attention whores. The real question is, what compelled this guy to do intricately plan this out. His position was as good as it would ever get. The victims were getting hit before they even heard the report. And the automatic weapons, you do not just buy them. Well you do, but it's very complicated. Laws would not have prevented this. And aside from being in the room with the guy or an air strike, no gun in that crowed save one in the hands of a trained sniper would have been any good.

And people like u always jump to "you want to ban all guns " extreme . Which is not what people are looking for .
sure it is. that is the slippery slope one gets on when the request is made.

Article: Democrat on Las Vegas shooting massacre: 'Time for Congress to get off its a-- and do something'

"Following the shooting, some top Democrats — often proponents of tighter restrictions on guns — urged the Republican-controlled Congress to take action to prevent similar mass shootings.

"This must stop. It is positively infuriating that my colleagues in Congress are so afraid of the gun industry that they pretend there aren't public policy responses to this epidemic," said Sen. Chris Murphy, D-Conn., in a statement. "There are, and the thoughts and prayers of politicians are cruelly hollow if they are paired with continued legislative indifference. It's time for Congress to get off its a-- and do something.
"

Well it certainly didn't take long for the buzzards-D to form up and start picking the corpses clean of any politically advantageous morsels they could get their bloody beaks on.

One wonders why the Democrats didn't pass any of this gun control legislation back when they had a lock on Congress in 2009, guess there wasn't any political advantage in it for 'em then.

Ban machine guns!
Except when used to shoot R politicians.

And it certainly didn't take long for people like you to cry foul when Democrats try to put the issue front and center that at the very least caused the high fatality rate.
That's because I'm paying attention to what the dickheads in Washington are actually up to which , in this case, is attempting to score political points on the corpses of the victims.

I wonder why Republicans never have a problem politicizing a shooting when Muslims are involved?
Probably something to with the fact that Republicans are just as inane, dishonest and unethical as the Democrats are.

Or alternatively they didn't have the votes on gun law reform. Seems like a reasonable assumption after last weeks health care debacle I would think.
Er..umm.. In 2009 the Democrats had a formidable majority in the House and a filibuster proof majority in the Senate and nary a peep about any of the gun control nonsense they're apoplectic over now, I guess they were too busy fucking up the U.S. Healthcare system back then to bother with it, huh?

How about we STOP for a minute and actually wait for the police to do their jobs? Wait for the FACTS to come out? Wait for the families to be informed? Wait for the literal fucking smoke to clear before we start screaming about "we HAVE to DO SOMETHING!!!!!" I mean really, think about it for half a second. What if YOU were there? What if YOU were wondering if your friend or family member was involved? What if this wasn't just another chance to further your political agenda. What if you actually thought about the fact that 50 people are DEAD, and hundreds are hurt and grieving. Are you even human enough to think about that stuff? Or are you such a political animal that that stuff just doesn't matter? For God's sake, the bodies were barely even cold before people were politicizing this. Show some damn respect, there are PEOPLE (your fellow countrymen/women)that have died, that are fighting for their lives, that have lost something they can NEVER get back. There is a time and place for the political debate, IT IS NOT TODAY!!!!!

This was predictable as the sun rising.

I agree, the fact they were going to take the low road was indeed predictable, the surprising part is how fast they took it, they didn't even wait for a final body count this time around.

More gun laws heaped on law abiding citizens will stop a law breaking mad man? The left is up to their same old shit again, never let a tragedy go to waste right libs. :puke:

Senators, including some who once voted against an assault-weapon ban are jumping on the gun control band-wagon.

The "assault weapons" which were the target of yesterday's gun-ban advocates were not in fact assault weapons but ordinary semi-automatic sporting rifles that look like real assault weapons, the critical difference being the primary characteristic of any true assault weapon is fully automatic function. What today's (Las Vegas) shooter used is a true, fully automatic assault weapon.

While time and circumstances have caught up with and corrected a critically ignorant mistake the important point in this distinction is the true assault weapon has always been illegal. What yesterday's ignorant gun-ban advocates were calling for was a stupidly redundant effort to ban ordinary semi-automatic sporting rifles (e.g., AR-15, etc) -- which are not assault weapons.

In the light of the events in Las Cegas, no one is doing a "happy dance", especially gun control advocates. We do not traffic in schadenfreude. That despicable trait is the province of those who refuse to recognize the havoc automatic weapons bring to our streets.

What's the purpose of a machine gun? It is not designed for sporting purposes. It is designed exclusively to kill as many humans as quickly as possible. No one can justify their ownership among civilians. Such weapons belong in the hands of a well regulated militia, not on American streets.

Did you read what I wrote? Or are you so overwhelmed by your anti-gun passion none of it matters. If so, please be advised that automatic weapons have been illegal for quite some time.

So what else would you suggest we do about them?

My favorite part of every tragedy is dumbfucks on both sides leaping to policy conclusions before any facts at all have been ascertained.

Unless specially licensed, machine guns are illegal, ya thick head!

Well, that's true. Of course, Sandy Hook and Aurora and Tuscon and the Pulse Night Club and Las Vegas hadn't happened yet. So I guess they didn't have their crystal balls.

But now that those things have happened, how do we sensibly address them.

They all have one root cause- Mentally unstable people having access to military grade, semi-automatic weapons.
