Man has been kept out and wildlife is returning.


They’ve taken pictures of brown bears and European bison along with wolves, foxes, and otters.

All of the short term (1/2 lives less than 5 years or so) radionuclides have reduced down to minimal levels.

The one left is Cesium-137 and there are still hot spots around where the levels are not healthy. Considering the 300 year half life it's going to be around for a while.

Same thing with Mt. Saint Helens eruption. Nature finds a way back a lot faster than humans allow for.
