Looks like some over-zealous staffers and security guards got a bit butt hurt over some kid's beanies.

Catholic school students kicked out of Smithsonian museum in DC over pro-life beanies

On Twitter, the mother of one of the students said the group was approached by a security guard who told them to either take off their beanies or leave the premises. Her daughter allegedly told the guard they were wearing the hats to identify and find one another in the crowd before they were escorted out of the museum.

Looks like the Museum management knows these people fucked up, wondering if they will get canned or just the old "re-training" slap on the wrist.

A spokesperson for the museum released a statement about what transpired and said the incident did not adhere to their policy or protocols.

"Asking visitors to remove hats and clothing is not in keeping with our policy or protocols. We provided immediate training to prevent a re-occurrence of this kind of incident, and have determined steps to ensure this does not happen again," said Alison Wood, the museum's deputy director of communications.

You can bet that if they had pro-choice beanies, they would not have been kicked out. Have to get rid of those White Supremacists!

Just one comment in defense of the workers who kicked them out.

It appears that the kids' motive was to disrupt and cause trouble in a public place to make a political statement.

I don't see how anything can be gained by adding more to that. It's enough to just let it register.

Just because I first wanted to read something not Fox News.

Greenville students removed from Washington, D.C. museum for wearing pro-life hats

The museum employee's are 100% wrong. The museum is a part of the government. These museums are a part of the National Museums. With that being the case they can not restrict a persons first amendment rights.

At the very least the employee's need to be put through training so they understand that, and/or fired.

And where does this motive "appear"?
Did you even read the article?:
"her daughter allegedly told the guard they were wearing the hats to identify and find one another in the crowd before they were escorted out of the museum."

How would you know if it was the kid's motivation was to disrupt?

Jeebus, they're Catholic, they're pro life

Talk about a load of horseshit.

They were in DC for the life march, and went to the museum after, wearing something they wore to the life march.

Even the museum management knew they fucked up.
Why do Catholic schools take children to pro life marches?

To the event, agreed they should not have been harassed.
