Can This Be What Women Want?

I have to laugh at the liberal women in this thread

YOU all had a chance to have a WOMAN run things and be the FIRST woman PRESIDENT..

but what did you do? throw her under a bus FOR A MAN and one with no experience in ANYTHING but he did have a pretty slogan, hopey changey

I now go laugh

I voted for McCain in 2008, but I know EXACTLY why Democrats chose Obama over Hillary.

They remembered impeachments over blow jobs and endless 70 million dollar investigations, and they figured that if they elected Hillary (Because the REpublicans had fucked it up so bad, they weren't going to win) they would have to slog through 4-8 years of the same kind of nonsense.

The left supports a woman's right to choose -- but only as long as she makes the liberal-sanctioned choice.

And liberal women seem to be okay with being told they have to vote Democrat because they have ovaries.

Where do liberals try to stop women from choosing to have babies?

In fact, wasn't your complaint about welfare that the government was paying women to have babies and encouraging the wrong kind of behavior?

As someone who was out there in the streets fighting when women had barely understood what equal pay meant, I am totally disappointed and disgusted with what women did with the rights we fought so hard to give them. Women rejected the entire idea of being reduced to nothing more than tits and ovaries. We were so much more than a vagina and uterus. Not today. Today protesters dress up like vaginas just to prove the point that women can't aspire to being anything more than that. You poor thing you, nothing but a woman, a julia, who needs support and protection from your spouse, the US government. That's the problem with the democrats. Women don't want to be able to start and run a business. They want free birth control. Women don't want a decent job. They want free abortions. They want free whatever it is. The very idea that a woman would stand up and refuse to be a julia is repugnant to democrats. Women have their place. Don't step out of line.

If I had known then, what I know now, I would never have given my time and energy to what women said they wanted. They never wanted it in the first place.

Oh, cry me a river... If you were fighting for the right of women to be part of soulless corporatism, then you probably missed the point.

Women have no place in corporatism. Right? Those bitches better learn their place and it isn't running companies. Go work in the community garden, it's all you're good for.

Um,no, Corporatism is a soulless, evil system... and if you think that's the be all and end all that you have someone like the HP woman firing hundreds of people instead of a dude, then again, you are missing the point.

gardening is very good for you.

When people talk about Mitt flip-flopping it's mostly about him talking out of both side of his mouth on this issue over the years, so yeah I was hoping...

I have not seen any statement by Mitt that he "promised to appoint anti-Choice judges" and Mitt has always articulated support for certain exceptions and insisted this issue was never his real agenda, but now his own website says he believes overturning Roe v Wade would be the proper course, so hope seems to be fading fast...
That would be the only way to overturn Roe.

Maybe this is just his backhanded way of finally saying he does not support the personhood amendment...

There are three ways Roe v. Wade, (1973) can be overturned:

Since Roe vs. Wade was a Supreme Court decision, the Supreme Court can effectively overturn the decision by ruling against abortion in a future case.

Congress can pass legislation protecting the fetus from the moment of conception (There are usually several bills addressing this issue in committee during each Congressional term. The 111th Congress (current) includes three House Resolutions and one Senate bill.).

Congress and the states can amend the Constitution to include the definition of "person" to include the unborn (this is the least likely scenario).

How can Roe v. Wade be reversed

I don't think he does. My personal opinion is Mitt is far more pro-choice then conservatives would be comfortable with.

Nobody should have children they can't support. Even Democrat special interest groups.

It's astoundingly easy to not get pregnant.

I have a confession to make. I don’t give a shit about feminism anymore. I am tired of watching women be their own worst enemies and then turn around and blame anything with a penis for their troubles.

I don’t give a rat’s fucking ass if women want to have a career or be stay-at-home moms. I’m not opposed to either option. If you can make your dreams come true then more power to you. If you have to settle for something less than perfect well then join the fucking club. It ain’t always what you want you get the most of.

But don’t act like one path is more righteous and holy than the other.

Most importantly, leave me the fuck out of it. It’s not my job to give you equality. I have an ethical responsibility to myself to treat everyone equally but I don’t owe you shit.

WOMEN ARE THE FUCKING MAJORITY. If you all got together you could win every election. So quit whining about how the evil penis-people are holding you back.
Don’t bother telling me that I don’t understand. I already know that I don’t, and I never will. Solve your own problems.

Let me know when you get your shit together. But don’t ask me to help you move it.

And yet, 50% of all pregnancies in America are unplanned.

Personally, I would like to think women are more than ovaries. They can be involved with the economy and they too, are looking for jobs. No president has the absolute determination of birth control or abortions. We have a Congress who makes the laws.

Women are as involved in what is best for this country and they too, can see what has happened in the last 3 1/2 years. Pretty much nothing. We need a leader who can get Congress working together, leads by example and unites this nation. Presently we have a president who tries to divide and conquer for his own personal agenda. That isn't in the best interests of this country.

Ryan voted repeatedly to raise the debt ceiling under Bush with no muss or fuss.
When Obama wanted to raise the debt ceiling, we had nothing but contentious debate.

If you have to fire hundreds of people to keep hundreds more working then you do what you have to do. Business is not an extension of the welfare state. The alternative is to spend the company into nothing which is what obama is doing to the whole country.

Do you recall the call to action after 9/11?

Yes.

I don't see reproductive rights being a deciding factor in this election, no matter how much the dems want it to be . However I don't think talking reproductive health is particularly good for the GOP either.

Roe is about reproductive choice
The Title Funding is about economics. The reason we started with the title funding is because it was determined that unwanted pregnancies lead to societal ills in many cases. It should be pointed out too that there are plenty of instances where this IS NOT THE CASE as well. For a cost of $1 per citizen per year, we can prevent thousands of these unwanted pregnancies. Scrubbing it while raising the defense spending is silly. Especially when we spend nearly half of every dollar spent on defense worldwide.
