Not only that, Reagan believed strongly in ending tax loopholes for the rich. Here's a quote from a speech Reagan gave in 1985 --

We’re going to close the unproductive tax loopholes that allow some of the truly wealthy to avoid paying their fair share. In theory, some of those loopholes were understandable, but in practice they sometimes made it possible for millionaires to pay nothing, while a bus driver was paying ten percent of his salary, and that’s crazy.

yes Reagan did infact raise taxes when he had too. He compromised on them, but he also cut taxes. The bottom line tho, is we were not in as hard a times then, as we are today. People today can't afford higher taxes. During Reagan years it was not as difficult to pay taxes.

Hey dumbass, most of the loopholes were designed by democrats in 1986. Funny but liberals dont like standardized punishments but claim the current punishments are unfair to minorities. Then they dont like tax loopholes, but design tons of them to help their green companies, unions, and all the while telling us how it's fun and good to pay taxes.
