You do know that being an illegal alien is a crime don't you?
I would have thought the adjective, ILLEGAL, would have made that clear.

Something can be illegal , doesn't make it a crime . It's illegal to park at an expired meter, but it's not a crime.

I have wonder about the legal ramifications and if it is a clear violation of the law in aiding and abetting illegal immigration. Maybe congress should take hard look into that. Of California's legislators are in their positions through irregular votes and on top of that doing this favoritism for illegals one would think something could be done to help the citizens there overcome this invasion.

if you leave your car parked at a meter too long, there are repercussions.

for almost any other event where you overstay your welcome, there are repercussions..

Agreed abuse of authority is no excuse to obstruct the law in these cases. They are compounding illegal activities which is obstruction.

Stop all federal funding. Now. They say they pay more in than they take. Let's see.

The Supreme Court has ruled that the state's are within their rights to not cooperate with INS and that the Feds can't cut their funding as a result. Immigration is strictly a federal matter and states should not be involved nor should the federal government be asking for their help.
