Bush Warned Obama About VA

You're stupid, we get it.
The current mess started before Obama's time. But no one died as a result. He was aware of the problems and let them grow unchecked until people did actually die. That is why it is entirely his fault.
Bullshit!

Vets have been dying from delays since 2001.

'Delay in treatment' a factor in more than 100 deaths at VA centers - U.S. - Stripes

More than 100 payments go out every year to resolve claims that veterans died due to mishaps by VA medical centers, according to an investigation conducted in partnership between this newspaper and WSB-TV in Atlanta.

The number of dead veterans could total more than 1,100 from 2001 through the first half of 2013

Show us the vets who died because the VA kept two lists under Bush. We'll wait.
Way to move the goal posts.

Rabbi has a peculiar, comical, habit of trying to frame the issue in some absurd manner that he thinks is the way you win an argument.

I suppose if he was arguing with someone as stupid as he is that might work.

So Bush created the problem, Bush had seven years to deal with it, and Bush's action was to warn Obama?

lol, disgraceful.
Obumble did not create the problem.

Shrub did not create the problem either.

The system creates the problem.

The system needs overhauling.

Shrub probably did some things to hold the beast at-bay during his tenure.

Not enough, of course.

Shrub then hands off the mess to the next guy, as was done to him, kicking the can down the road.

Here's the thing, though.

Every Administration is a Fresh Start, and a New Chance to fix the goddamned thing.

Obumble walked in the door promising to fix the goddamned thing.

Obumble has had five years to fix the goddamned thing.

The goddamned thing is still broke.

Obumble must now take his share of the blame for failure to execute.

Yeah, and now the Bush voters are screaming at Obama. Can't make this shit up.

As I've repeatedly stated, the troubles with the VA come from Jimmy Carter's legislation to make changes to the Civil Service in 1968!!!!!

BTW, why didn't Bush fix the VA problem?
Damned good question.

And no decent answer.

But we aren't talking about Bush's failures.

We're talking about Obama's failures.

The op brought up Bush. He's fair game.
Oh, no contest.

He's fair game.

It's just that he's also The Past.

And, to fix the VA, our heads need to be in The Present.

And, at Present, and for the past five goddamned years, the VA has been in the hands of yet ANOTHER sorry-assed Administration that has opened its Big Mouth and made all kinds of promises about Fixing the Problem, yet, in the final analysis, has done little enough, so that this sort of systemic and problematic and lethal behavior still runs roughshod over our Nation's veterans.

I thought The Messiah was gonna Change the VA, the way He promised to Change the entire country, for the better.

Phukk Shrub.

Stay focused.

We're talking about Obama now.

What's Obumble gonna do to fix this, after five years of Lost Opportunties to do so?

The Messiah and His Gang own the problem, now, and have, for quite some time.

Time to start acting like it.

Time for them to get off their dead asses, man-up, and fix the damned thing.

Can Obama fix the VA without bi-partisan help? Can/could any president without also having control of the House and Senate?

Republicans controlled the House and Senate under most of Bush's presidency - yet nothing was done about the VA problem that Bush warned Obama about - whereas Democrats have only controlled the House and Senate about 4 months of Obama's presidency.

No! Obama Did Not Control Congress His First Two Years!

So, Bush left Obama with TWO wars, a great recession, and a crippled VA as he left the White House. Has any previous president been left a worse mess?

This is happening on Obama's watch.

It is Obama's mess to sort.

If he can't do it, the Nation will simply have to find someone who can.

If he can't cut it, at least the deficiency has some modest prospects for remedy, after January 20, 2017.

Meanwhile, we can all work on pushing the present Administration to get to work, effectively, to fix the thing.
