Of the big three networks, only the CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley covered the new revelations in the VA scandal. CBS News host Scott Pelley noted that “The Bush White House was so concerned about this back in 2008 that it warned the incoming Obama Administration.”

The VA was a mess during Bush and if you recall, the media did a shocking expose complete with an angry father of a Veteran who was outraged about the lack cleanliness in a VA hospital. The mainstream media demanded that the situation be corrected and persons in the Bush administration be held responsible. Today we have dead patients in VA hospitals and indications that the bureaucrats who run the institutions were awarded bonuses by the Hussein administration when they saved money because a patient died or committed suicide awaiting treatment. The mainstream media seems more interested in protecting the administration than covering the story. When are the true believers going to come to grips with the fact that Obama is CEO of the Country and hold him responsible after almost five years of negligence and criminal conduct.?

Obama knew about the problems with the VA. Bush was open about it and everyone knew.

Obama promised during his campaign in 2008 that he'd address the problem if elected. That was after expressing (fake) concern for our retired military members. Over 5 years have passed and the problem has not only gotten worse, but ten times worse. Meanwhile, the illegal aliens are doing better thanks in part to some cuts to military pensions.

I've never met a liberal who is truly concerned for our military. They put illegal aliens above those who fight for this country.

Bush knew about the problem for years before 2008 and did nothing about other than pass the problem to Obama, who at least pushed Congress to increase the VA budget to alleviate the problem. How come in all those years, righties never once condemned Bush for ignoring the problem?

And of course, if Bush had listened to Shinseki when he was Army Chief of Staff and said invading Iraq was a really horrible idea, then the VA wouldn't be so overtaxed now.
