BREAKING: New bill opens Arctic Refuge to Big Oil!

Didn't Shell already try drilling in the Arctic Ocean and fail? How will failure help off-set the tax cuts to the rich? Better idea is to open the federal waters off Florida where there is a proven amount of reserves and it's much easier to extract.

Do both, the oil companies are perfectly capable of determining whether or not drilling in XYZ area is worth the risk to their capital.

FYI: The area in question "1002 area" isn't in the Arctic Ocean it's a 1.5 million acre coastal plain.

Federal oil royalties from drilling on Federal lands will bring in Federal revenues.

So will drilling in the federal waters off the coast of Fla. Much easier to bring to market too.

Yes, I was wrong, it is the Coastal Plains.

Naw, you're just ahead of the curve, eventually they'll get around to major U.S. drilling projects in the Arctic Ocean. ;)

Once again the GOP/ Trump are pushing their anti environmental policies and won’t be happy until they let the fossil fuel companies totally dominate the EPA.
The American people voted they don't care about the environment. Jobs and cheap oil are more important.
No, more people voted against that. 3 million more.
And a clean environment does not mean jobs will be hurt.
There are huge opportunities in alternative energy. Ask all the countries that are way far ahead of us in clean energy jobs..

There are huge opportunities in alternative energy.

Yes!!

Many low productivity "clean energy" jobs are created when we shovel enough taxpayer money out the door.

Ask all the countries that are way far ahead of us in clean energy jobs..

Exactly!! Ask Spain how that's working for them. Let me know what they say.

Germany too which has going

back to coal

--LOL
I just posted a link to prove you to be a liar.Germany is the world’s leader in alternative energy.
Germany’s transition from coal to renewable energy offers lessons for the rest of the world

Do them both.
We need more output in Alaska to keep the pipeline running.

I blame California Wildfires for Global Warming. WHY DOES CALIFORNIA HATE THE PLANET?!

Wildfires caused as much pollution this week as cars in California did in a year, a researcher says - CNN

(CNN)The wildfires blazing across Northern California this week produced the same amount of air pollution as vehicles did in the state in one year, according to Sean Raffuse, an air-quality analyst at the Crocker Nuclear Laboratory at the University of California, Davis.

Raffuse said Thursday that the wildfires burning in Napa, Sonoma and Solano counties have released more than 10,000 tons of PM 2.5.
