BREAKING: Mitt Romney Urged Obama to Embrace the Individual Mandate

I don't know why I ever think you might contribute anything to a conversation, Snipe...

Romney speaks daily about his faith, contrary to your post.

The contribution I made was to spank your weak take.

He talks about "faith", he doesn't talk about his religion.

The distinction is probably lost on you, but that fact you can't see past your hate for Obama is probably blocking your vision.

Yawn. You know what, everyone's a religious bigot.

Do you really think Sung Myung Moon is the re-incarnation of Jesus? Nope? BIGOT!

Do you really think Evil Space Lord Xenu left billions of Body Thetans on the Earth to drag us down? Nope? BIGOT!!!!!

Do you think David Koresh was supposed to father the new twelve tribes of Israel, even if he had to have sex with 11 year old girls? Nope? BIGOT!!!!!! How can you show your face in public?

So you've admitted that you'd consider being a Moonie, Scientologist or Branch Davidian a disqualifer, but the Mormon Cult, even though their "faith" is just as whacky (so whacky Romney won't answer questions about it) is just a-okay with you.

You don't have to consider being one in order to treat individuals like they have a right to be human beings, a right to run for President or just the rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

You have proven yourself to be a hate filled socialist.

Carry on and may your bigotted way of life never succeed here in America.

Dismissed bigot!

Immie

Guy, you completely avoided the subject, which your sort usually does.

Are you saying that the beliefs of Moonies and Scientologists aren't so crazy that we shouldn't take it into account?

It isn't about "liberty", guy, it's about judgement. There are some beliefs that are so crazy that simply they disqualify from consideration. You'd put the Moonies and Scientologists in that category, and so would I. But I'd throw the Mormons in there, too.

If Romney were proud of his beliefs, he'd be out there talking about them rather than avoiding the subject.

It is about your hatred of people that are different from you, moron.

No one is asking you to consider whether his beliefs are valid. All we are asking is for morons such as yourself to stop hating everyone you don't agree with.

If you think he is unworthy of being the President for political reasons then fine don't vote for him, but for God's sake can your damned hatred of their beliefs. We get it already. You are nothing more than a bigot. You don't need to go on proving it.

Mormonism is not Christianity. I will give you that although I will take heat for stating it. But, here is a suggestion for bigots such as your self. Spend an hour or so on this site and actually try reading our Constitution! I can guarantee you that you won't find anything in there that requires the President, a member of Congress or a Justice of the Supreme Court to be a Christian.

THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION - We the People

For God's sake, get a life and drop the bigotry. It only makes you look like an asshole.

When a Christian speaks of his/her faith, they are generally speaking of their faith and their religion. I suspect Mormons are pretty much the same. Although, I am not so certain you know much at all about Christianity. You surely don't appear to be one. So, why do you care?

I'm a Christian - but I don't care if my next president is a Christian, a mormon, or a voodoo witch doctor. When Jesus said "Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and Render unto God what is God's" he made the greatest case for seperation of church and state ever.

God doesn't care if his words are written into our laws, he wants them written in our hearts.

There are plenty of good reasons to NOT vote for Romney. His religion isn't one of them - imho.

That would be fine, if Mormons actually believed in the Separation of Church and state.

They don't.

In their whacky history has been Americas only attempt at true Theocracy. At least until the federal government stomped it down in 1857.

Guy, you seem to miss the point more often than a retard.

For the record, I'm an atheist. I don't think there is a God and never really did. My issue is not whether or not the LDS is "Christian" or not.

Mitt Romney believes truly messed up things. That black people are cursed, that women should be subordinate, that greed is a virtue. Just because he takes these evil stupid beliefs and calls them a "religion" doesn't make them less evil or stupid.

My experience with LDS is that they have an attitude of taking care of their own and screw everyone else. Mitt is no exception. Fellow rich Mormon's daughter doesn't come home from a rave, he closes down the office and gets everyone to look for her. Those "Gentiles" at AmPad are in the way of making a big profit. Screw 'em.

I certainly don't want a president to approach running my country that way.

Well, I'd be more impressed with "Christians" if they acted the way Christ said to.

I went to twelve years of Catholic schools. WHich meant dealing with nuns and priests who thought religion could help them deal with their repressed homosexuality... (It didn't help!)

But, hey, I would like Romney to address himself to "faith" a little more than the banal platitudes of the interfaith pancake breakfast.

Does he really think that dark skin is a curse from God? The writing of Joseph Smith says it is.

Does he really think a woman can only get into heaven if bonded to an LDS man in good standing?

Does he really think all other religions are an abomination?

If Perry had to answer questions about evolution and we crucified Santorum about his beliefs vis-a-vis homosexuality and abortion, I'm just wondering why Romney's beliefs should be off limits?
