This guy was really a pain in the ass on the primetime Fox New Channel show "The Five" that used to be a very popular show on at 5pm Eastern, but was shifted to 8pm after Bill O'Reilly was fired after several unsubstantiated sexual-discrimination claims were made against him.
Bob Beckle never was isn't the sharpest person in the industry. This is the guy that got caught bouncing a check to a prostitute years ago.
He was a co-host on "The Five" which was using him as a Democrat consultant on the panel, part of what they call "Fair And Balanced" coverage of current events. Often his rude and brash behavior offended everyone on the panel, especially Kimberly Guilfoyle, but to her credit she never made any formal complaints. When he was replaced last week they never skipped a beat.
I think the show was better without him.

"Fox News announced Friday that they fired “The Five” co-host Bob Beckel for “insensitive remarks” and now lawyers representing the offended employee are offering the full story.
“Bob Beckel was terminated today for making an insensitive remark to an African-American employee,” Fox originally said of the termination.
However, Attorneys Douglas H. Wigdor and Jeanne Christensen, who are representing the employee, are angry that the network chose not to share what they say is the full story, reports Law Newz.
“Mr. Beckel stormed out of his office when our client, a Black IT employee came to service his computer, telling our client that he was leaving his office because he is Black,” the attorneys said in a statement.
The lawyers also allege that when their client went to complain about the incident to Human Resource Officer Kevin Lord, Lord tried to intimidate him into silence.
Wigdor and Christensen say they “intend on holding 21st Century Fox accountable for these actions.”
Fox News, however, disputes that Love ever intimidated the employee.
“As Mr. Wigdor knows, Fox News made the decision to terminate Mr. Beckel after a prompt and thorough investigation,” they said. “His client raised the complaint to Kevin Lord, EVP Human Resources, on Tuesday evening via email and within 7 minutes Mr. Lord responded and began the investigation.”"
