"The Christian Billionaire"
I'd like to address the subject of Christian billionaires as this is another matter that I feel unsettled about. How does the Love of Jesus Christ abide in the heart of a man with Billions of dollars sitting in his bank account in the end times while millions of his brethren, the poor around the world are suffering for lack of daily bread? Let's look at what the bible actually teaches on these matters. Please keep in mind I am not judging the world for holding onto their fortunes - God will judge the world - but the Christian is to judge those inside who are destroying the church from within by their willful sins against the church - giving it a bad reputation - this is the command of the Apostle Paul. Please see Corinthians 5: 1 - 12.
It is written:
Hereby we percieve the love of God, because as he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoso has this worlds goods and shuts up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the Love of God in him? My little children, let us not love in tongue but in deed and in truth. And hereby, we know the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him. For if our hearts condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. - 1 John 3: 16, 17.
Love speaks the truth to his or her brother..Love rebukes, corrects and exhorts. Iron sharpens Iron..
Love does not say all is well, brother, when it is obvious they are living a lie. They do not remain silent when the brother misrepresents christian values and Jesus Christ ------>because he is the biggest tither in the church and throws millions at Israel for the privledge of doing whatever he feels like! This is not Christianity, folks! That is accepting a bribe and allowing someone to buy your silence in exchange for some favors! Some things money cannot buy! Now let's begin with the first thing money cannot buy. SALVATION.
Zacheus who found his salvation through his departure with greed, theft, and dishonesty. Zacheus didn't try to buy Jesus off! He didn't excuse his lies, his theft, and his greed! He didn't drop off a few bags of gold and silver at the synagogue to appease the Jews! He confessed his sins and made restitution to all he had harmed! ALL.
Jesus clearly lets us know that Zacheus's response was the actions of a truly saved man! Surely Salvation had come to Zachaeus's house! As to heaping up treasures in the last days? The apostles warned about that. That comes next. Stay tuned..
