BOMBSHELL: Officer who initiated the chase of Freddie Gray was a WHACK JOB!

Excite News - Officer in fatal arrest once hospitalized over mental health

The highest-ranking Baltimore police officer in the arrest that led to Freddie Gray's death was hospitalized in April 2012 over mental health concerns for an unknown duration and had his guns confiscated by local sheriff's deputies, according to records from the sheriff's office and court obtained by The Associated Press.

Lt. Brian Rice, who initially pursued Gray on a Baltimore street when Gray fled after Rice made eye contact April 12, declared three years ago that he "could not continue to go on like this" and threatened to commit an act that was censored in the public version of a report obtained by the AP from the Carroll County, Maryland, Sheriff's Office. Rice lived in the county, about 35 miles northwest of Baltimore. At the time, deputies were responding to a request to check on his welfare by a fellow Baltimore police officer who is the mother of Rice's son.

Deputies reported that Rice appeared "normal and soft spoken" and said he had been seeking "sympathy and attention." But citing "credible information," the deputies confiscated both his official and personal guns, called his commanding officer and transported Rice to the Carroll Hospital Center. The weapons included his .40-caliber police pistol, a 9 mm handgun, an AK-47-style rifle, a .22-caliber rifle and two shotguns.

AND was Gray shot? You seem pre-occupied with Rice's weapons. The parallel with Rice..his legally owned weapons, a police officer at the time, and Gray's injury is WHAT exactly?

Hey! I've got a question. Was any Baltimore cop in the back of the transport vehicle where Gray was supposedly injured?

Seems like dumb ol' Freddy was trying to injure himself to get a lawsuit started and the dumb ass went and broke his own damned neck.
We don't know yet if he was alone the whole time that he was in the vehicle.

A LOT of arrested folks attempt to harm themselves en route to jail. It happens HUNDREDS of times a day SERIOUSLY! It looked like the cops were pretty soft on Gray putting him into the transport. Nobody was slamming him around or anything. Unless something can be proved or was witnessed I would be on the side of the police in this "accident". I "quote" accident because I am inclined to believe Gray did it to himself.

A Philosoraptor moment:

You have many whack jobs in Washington, but don't worry about how they dispense their authority, but yet you worry about only one cop and how he dispenses his authority.

Had the police known that Gray was going to act so violently he could have been put is more restrictive restraints and strapped to the floor.

Seems like dumb ol' Freddy was trying to injure himself to get a lawsuit started and the dumb ass went and broke his own damned neck.
How could YOU possibly know whether he was alone or not?

They've said he was alone until they picked up a second man, who was partitioned off from Gray.

But that story has changed from the first version and tomorrow is another day.

I don't ..DO YOU ??? Before dishing out blame don't you think it responsible to have a police officer placed in the van...WITH GRAY?

We do know that during the stops cops went into Gray's compartment, we don't know if all came out, and the prisoner in the other compartment was not added until the last stop and could not see into Gray's side.

Did the "whack job" kill him? If not what's the smear about?

I personally don't know how detectives, beat cops, EMT's, firefighters or any others manage to serve the public without at least one meltdown for the shit they see on a day to day.or the criminal whack jobs they have to deal with.

And yet many millions of Americans voted for the king of sending jobs to foreign countries, Mitt Romney. Morons are NOW complaining about the lack of jobs. What were they thinking was going to happen when they opened their doors to the Morman? Bush and the GOP couldn't send our jobs out of the country fast enough. Gee Wiz !!! Did Bush re-invest in factories after the great financial crash? Of course not. He bailed out the thieves and traitors that manufactured the whole mess.

When you are too stupid to reject voting against your own best interests it seems a tad pathetic to complain NOW about the lack of attention paid for the last twenty years where your votes went.

Police actions of standing down and doing absolutely nothing incited the riot.

Uh huh.
Of course not.

But a black liberal mayor, giving demonstrators 'space to destroy' last Saturday night, quite probably helped those protests turn a corner into a bad direction.
