Oklahoma police released a video Friday from the body camera of a cop who fatally shot a suspect earlier this month.

Muskogee Officer Chansey McMillin, responding to a domestic abuse complaint, approached 21-year-old Terrance Walker outside the Old Agency Baptist Church on Jan. 17, according to local media.

"Just relax for me,” McMillin said. “Why you shaking for? Relax.”

The video shows Walker run away and McMillin give chase. The suspect then stops to bend over and pick up something he has dropped in the street.

From the video, it is not clear what he is attempting to retrieve, but police say it was a loaded semiautomatic pistol.

McMillin fires five shots at Walker, who had set off running again, which strike and kill the young man. The unedited footage shows Walker fall over into a ditch.

The church’s pastor ran toward the scene and begged the cop to put his gun down.

“Don’t shoot no more,” he shouted.

“Get back!” McMillin screamed multiple times, while approaching the body.

Other officers arrived on the scene. One found the handgun on Walker’s person before checking his vital signs.

Minutes later, McMillin collapsed onto another cop car. His colleagues tried to comfort him.

“You’re all right, baby. You’re all right, OK? Let’s go to my car, come on,” one said.

“F---. Why’d he have to do that?” McMillin said, referring to Walker's attempt to flee.

Walker’s mother,Cassandra, spoke to KXANafter authorities released the body camera footage of her son’s death on Friday. She said she has refused to watch it.

Believe what you want. He clearly stopped facing the officer and had his hands around his ankles. The cop had half a second to react. The suspect WAS armed.

I see the pants down beneath the butt is still all the rage while running.

I know. Not nice. But oh well.

Maybe he was. I don't know, we have no reliable source. In any case the kid's running away. He shot him in the back. We do have reliable evidence for that.

He...again...went for a gun vs a cop.

Sad. But cop was justified.

He slowed down nearly to a stop to reach down and grab a gun....to do who knows what. Shoot the cop? Maybe.

Had he left the gun on the ground and kept running...hed be alive today.

Had he not ran...and just gotten arrested for illegally carrying a gun...he gets probation and is out by the Super Bowl kickoff next week.

But...he didnt.

Probably panicked.

Earlier, he had threatened to kill his girlfriend. Said he had a bullet with his name on it. I have some sadness for his parents, but it looks like a good shoot to me.

Shot in the back while running away. The cop murdered him and will go to prison.
Don't bet on it. He'll be given every possible benefit of every possible doubt, then he'll be back on the job.

Doesn't look like it. He's running away from the camera when he's shot -- five times no less.
Far as I know that's not a position from which it's even possible to shoot to your rear.

It comes down to a question of: running from a cop is illegal, but is it punishable by getting shot in the back? Because that's exactly what took place.

In fact, just now watching again -- he tries to shoot him seven times. He ran out of bullets.
--- which also means when he's brandishing the gun to keep the pastor and others away, he's doing so with an empty gun.

Would have been interesting to see the pastor ignore him and go ahead and check on the kid as he was pleading to do. Of course it would have also been interesting to see what he would have done in that scenario if the gun was not exhausted.

Here you go all you cop hating retards. CNN gives a VERY fair assessment and slows the video down and pauses it....where you can see 100% clear that the thug is bent over, facing the officer, picking up a pistol, with the potential ability to fire at the cop within a half second. What would YOU do?

By the way...the cop was there because a victim called 911 saying this innocent young black man...with a gun...had just threatened to kill her.

God Bless this officer. He'll be next to suffer the lynch mobs wrath for protecting himself and others.

The decision to shoot was made with the thug grabbing a gun while facing the cop. CNN already freeze framed it. And under that stress...scientific studies have already shown that a suspect can turn around 1-2 seconds before the shooters brain processes the new visual and trigger the stop-shooting response.

This was 100% a lawful shoot.

And just being devils advocate...but Tennessee vs Garner supreme court ruling would clear the cop anyway since the thug already threatened to kill another citizen nearby....so letting him run and possibly get away could endanger the original victim...so a "fleeing felon" shooting would be ok...because if allowed to escape that thug could be an imminent threat to human life. In this case the person he said be was there to kill.

Good shoot no matter how yoh see it. End of story.

And also to note and applaud:

The black pastor at the church...a witness...came calmly asking the cop to please not shoot anymore which the cop didnt.

He assisted with crowd control.

And the preacher told responding police commanders that the cop "did everything right".

A fair honest man who should be commended in that tragic situation.

The video in your link is to a cop shooting a car passenger in New Jersey.

And there's nothing in the article about a 911 call either. All we have on that story is a claim from the Muskogee police chief.
