I wonder how many who hate Bergdahl were ever in combat.

Is that to say you haven't been in combat? You know what they say about excuses? LOLI wonder how many who hate Bergdahl were ever in combat.
Perhaps it is the fault of the military. Seems they have not found a way to predict how long a soldier might endure in combat, and what type of combat. before the soldier can no longer endure. During the war the infantry comprised 6% of the army and yet took over 50% of the casualties. So who went into the infantry? What was the infantry rate of breakdowns? Should there be a screening of soldiers as to their mental stamina?

Why?I wonder how many who hate Bergdahl were ever in combat.
Yes, and I really hate Bergdahl. Even in my old age, I'd volunteer to be the only person in the firing squad.
You sure they dont?Again...more trumpanzees disdain for our military.....combined with typical trumpanzees ignorance of the UCMJ and courts-martial.Then that 'judge' should be kicked off the bench. The judge said that Trump's calls for the death penalty impacted his decision.
Would YOU want a judge who handed YOU a verdict based on what the judge heard someone say outside the case?
Suuuuure you would........asshole!
The morons still believe we shoot people for desertion

Yes, desertion CAN be punished by the death penalty, but only in time of war.
He was not in combat... His fellow soldiers said he was/is a coward. Is that to say you haven't been in combat? You know what they say about excuses? LOLI wonder how many who hate Bergdahl were ever in combat.

Of course you have none, except your liberal imagination. If you think it looks bad, it must be true!

Just because you choose to not believe it doesn't make it any less true. But, because you called for a link, here ya go..................
After Bergdahl avoids prison time, did Trump's words actually help?
That same morning, Army Judge Col. Jeffrey Nance held that the president's tough remarks wouldn't prevent the soldier from receiving a fair sentence.
At the same time, the judge also indicated that he would consider Trump's words as part of his sentencing decision.
Nance's sentence is much more lenient compared to the 14 years in prison that prosecutors had wanted for Bergdahl. So did Trump's words lead to a lesser sentence?
Probably, but we'll never really know for sure. That's just the nature of military sentencing.
Military courts-martial are similar to civilian courts in that either a panel (jury) or a military judge decides the outcome of the case. But unlike a civilian court (except in death penalty cases), whichever entity found guilt in a military court must also determine the defendant's punishment.

You are just mincing words to try to back up your position.
Where are the quotes? This looks like some liberal anti-Trump reporter's opinions.
"The judge, Col. Jeffrey Nance, sentenced Bergdahl to a reduction in rank, a payment of $1,000 per month for 10 months and a dishonorable discharge, according to multiple reports.
Bergdahl pleaded guilty last month to charges of desertion and misbehavior before the enemy. He faced a maximum sentence of life in prison."
...during war time. The SOB could have ... probably should have ... gotten the death penalty, a life sentence at the very least.
Judge rules no jail time for Bergdahl

a dishonorable discharge isn't "skating" initially the officers who interviewed him didn't even think he should be courts martialed.
but if you wanted a heavier sentence, the orange idiot should have shut his mouth and not potty tweeted about the subject. just like the guy with the truck who committed the terrorist attack in NY on halloween... the idiot's comments are going to make an easy job for defense attorneys. he needs to shut up.

Once Obama became involved
Republicans demanded their pound of flesh out of Bergdahl

Reading comprehension dipstick. The judge is Col. Nance, and he was the one who said that Trump's remarks wouldn't prevent Bergdahl from getting a fair trial, and he's also the one that passed the sentence, not "some liberal anti-Trump reporter's opinions".
And, there is talk that because of Trumps remarks after Bergdahl was sentenced, that he may be able to get his discharge upgraded on appeal.

Watching lawyers discussing this on the news, they said that because of the comments from Trump concerning his sentencing, there is a pretty decent chance for Bergdahl to get his discharge upgraded on appeal.
