Activist Judge Throws Out Bergdahl Conviction After Six Soldiers Died Looking For Him

Did they mention Bergdahl taught them (the enemy) how to trigger IEDs with a cell phone? No?

I'd ask for a link, but I know it will be bullshit. You really think the Taliban didn't already know how to do that?

Did they mention Obama traded 5 terrorist enemy leaders for him?

Except... they weren't terrorists, they were government officials of the previous regime. We really didn't have a legal basis to hold them, and the provisional government at the time wanted them released because they thought they could facilitate negotiations with the Taliban.

Obama released 5 Taliban leaders to a third country. Trump released 5000 Taliban hard-cases into the wild in Afghanistan AND reduced our troop levels.

That is giving aid and comfort to the enemy in a time of "war on terror".

A treasonous offense; IF there was an actual "War on Terror", that is.

Was there or wasn't there?

Well, no, you can't declare war on an emotional state, can you?

Why would a trump comment in 2016 — before being elected to any office — have any legal sway on any judgment?
The proceedings happened in 2017, after the Russians helped Trump steal the presidency...

So, yes, Judge Walton should have recused himself if he was applying for a better job.

of course, this entire thing was a travesty, because Bergdahl was mentally ill, and not responsible for his actions.
