Bullshit. Does that mean if the Dems lose the House, Pelosi will no longer be a douche in your eyes?

Plus, where do you get this foolish idea that Regressives don't have power? They've blocked almost everything the Dems have tried to do.

HOW THE FUCK does ANYONE manage to "block" the MAJORITY???

Let's just let that statement of yours sit out there for a while so others can point and laugh, too.

We're laughing at you. For the majority of his time in office, Obama had a majority. He didn't need the Republicans votes. Therefore, they could not 'block' jack shit. Moron.

It's a toughie here. Pelosi is a lead runner with her illegal tactics and bizarre pronouncements.
Frank is just creepy.
But my vote is for Grayson, who complains when people catch him lying.

Gosh, where are the Republicans?

Do you know who will run the energy committee if Republicans take control of the House? None other than Joe Barton, who APOLOGIZED to BP Oil for having to set aside $20 billion to pay for the damage it cost businesses in the Gulf.

Darrell Issa is already plotting his strategy as he will be appointed Chairman of the powerful House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. As a first step, he plans to increase the staff of that office from the current 40 to 80, two-thirds of whom will be "investigating" everything done during the two years of the Obama administration. Can we say taxpayer-funded boondoggles a' la Bill Clinton? How many hours consumed at how many "oversight" sessions on trivial matters can we look forward to instead of these guys actually doing what the committee is charged with?

Nancy Pelosi wins hands down. There are others that are just as big of a douchebag as Nancy Pelosi but when you add her ugly mug and ignorance together she tops the list.

Nancy's biggest fault is that she is an unwavering, uncompromising liberal. But she is NOT ugly nor is she ignorant.

barbara boxer is the biggest bitch...tough call between her and pelosi though.

Boxer is definitely a contender here. Just have to repost this one:

To stupid to know that Ma'am coming from a general is quite a show of respect.

When Republicans get some power, it's going to be so damned much fun taking one particular incident or statement and plastering it all over the Internet as though it amounts to a fucking hill of beans in the bigger picture.

People who have NO influence over my life can't be considered "douches."

If, in your world, they CAN? You need a lifetime supply of Rolaids, pal.

F.I.L.I.B.U.S.T.E.R, sweetheart. Then there's the Senate rule that one Senator can put a "hold" on any bill about to be debated upon. Get educated you snotty little brat.

She'll miss most comments splanin' it to her because she has us all on ignore.

So Barton apologized because the gov't demonized BP, threatened them, usurped their payment system and all of it totally without cause? No, he's an honest public servant. Those who demonized BP are the douchebags here.
Any proof on the Issa allegations? I mean, any at all?

And if he did he'd have good precedents. How many resolutions on the Iraq War did the Democratic Congress pass? None of them effective? How many investigations did the Dems launch or threaten to launch? All of them worthless.

Unlike the Republican Party, the Democrats have more diversity among their legislators. The Blue Dogs are conservatives, and the liberals are the socialists. Then there's Obama which would make him...A CENTRIST! Surprise surprise. Both of those factions in both chambers had a huge impact on the bills getting passed, or not. Of all the Democrats serving, Obama did NOT have a "majority" even within his own party. Just because they have a "D" after their names doesn't mean they are all in lockstep.

So you admit that Obama had a majority of Democrats in Congress and his failures were failures to work with his own party. OK. That means Republicans weren't any part of any of that.
The so-called "blue dogs" voted with Pelosi something like 85% of the time. So much for "diversity."

It's not really just one incident with Boxer. She has a history of being condescending and snooty to people. She never really has been all that popular in California, but the heavy Democratic leanings of the state have always helped her secure another term.

It's a one-sided poll. Aren't there also Republican douchbags?

I'm taking this excuse from those who support the fine art of race-baiting:

They aren't in power so they are the oppressed, not the oppressor.

Only oppressors can be douche-bags.

Same thing with Pelosi. In most of the state she wouldn't have a chance...but she operates out of a district full of douche-bags that tend to vote for douche-bags.

F.I.L.I.B.U.S.T.E.R, sweetheart. Then there's the Senate rule that one Senator can put a "hold" on any bill about to be debated upon. Get educated you snotty little brat.

When was the last official filibuster? There have been threats but not one singe filibuster has been attempted. The only case I've seen where a Senator put a hold on a bill was with extension of unemployment benefits and the guilty party was tarred and feather in the press....accused of racism. You might as well put a gun in your mouth if you want to become such a target so get real smart-ass.

On almost every bill there has been just enough (R) Senators voting for it to prevent a filibuster. [The same two NE Senators for the Health Care bill and everything else Obama wanted]

In the case of Cap & Trade enough (D) Senators voted against closure to prevent it from coming to a vote.

Arm-twisting and bargaining behind closed doors is a constant reminder that this congress is no better then any other and in many cases much worse. Corruption is still in force. The swamp has not been drained as promised.

No Republican was allowed to help write bills or offer any significant amendments.

Ear-marks increased 7%.

After all of the accusations of runaway spending the Dems still increased spending by over 200%.

Please don't talk to us about how the GOP is partly to blame or that they had any control over this mess.

I picked Alan G. who is billed down here as a "National Embarassment". He has called his opponent, Daniel Webster,(you gota love that name, sounds, well, informative and knowledgable) Taliban Dan and has spliced together Dan's speeches to form a clip where Dan seems to tell women they must obey their husbands.

The Mystery is why he got elected to begin with. Florida seems fairly conservative and Greyson knows this and the present political climate down here now, also.

Pelosi is from the leftist of the left in San Francisco she comes under the "forgive them Lord for they know not what they do" excuse and probably is unexposed or untested by conservatives. Boxer and Reid just feel ensconced and protected by their incumbency.
Reid like many other RINOs (Castle, Specter...) was probably never in line with conservative principles.

The frequency of filibusters – plus threats to use them – are measured by the number of times the upper chamber votes on cloture. Such votes test the majority's ability to hold together 60 members to break a filibuster.

In the 110th Congress of 2007-2008, with Republicans in the minority, there were a record 112 cloture votes. In the current session of Congress – the 111th – for all of 2009 and the first two months of 2010 the number already exceeds 40. The most the filibuster has been used when Democrats were in the minority was 58 times in the 106th Congress of 1999-2000.

During most of Obama's first year in office and for a few weeks this year, 58 Democratic senators and two Independents who normally vote with them held a filibuster-proof 60-seat majority in the Senate.

That vanished last month when Massachusetts Republican Scott Brown captured the seat of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, who died last summer.

Cloture and filibuster rules are there to give the minority party some clout. And of course they use it whenever they can. As do Democrats when they're in a minority, and they will the next time they are.

Harry Reid a "rino"?? He's been a liberal Democrat for decades.
