Biden just pledged to shut down 60% of America’s electric power

Nuclear???
" A combination of short-term hazards and a lack of vision on energy have weakened France's electricity production, more than two-thirds of which comes from nuclear power. Of the country's 56 available reactors, sixteen are still shut down."

This is breaking your heart... Europe is moving over time away from Coal and towards a Gas & Wind mix... Wind gives them a far more dependable supply than a mad guy in Russia...

France is going Nuclear, 14 more large nuclear power plants, and dozens of small nuclear reactors.
England, is going Nuclear
The government announced that a new body called Great British Nuclear will be launched to bolster the UK's nuclear capacity, with the hope that by 2050 up to 24 GW of electricity will come from that source - 25% of the projected electricity demand. The focus on nuclear could deliver up to eight new reactors to be built on existing sites.

The Usurper is on a mission to harm the US and its citizens, period. This cannot stand. Our destruction is inevitable if he's allowed another illegal term in office.

ANOTHER MORONIC POST. ARE YOU PROUD?

Nuclear power stations are not falling apart, why did you resort to lying?

Plans For New Reactors Worldwide

(Updated November 2023)

  • About 60 reactors are under construction across the world. A further 110 are planned.
  • Most reactors under construction or planned are in Asia.
  • New plants coming online in recent years have largely been balanced by old plants being retired. Over the past 20 years, 108 reactors were retired as 97 started operation

Projected electricity capacity in France 2022-2030, by source. A 2022 forecast estimated that nuclear energy capacity in France would increase by two gigawatts by 2030, while hydropower would increase by 15 gigawatts. In 2030, hydropower would account for the largest installed capacity in the country with 65 gigawatts.

You are making it easy now... So France is increasing Wind by 7 times compared to Nuclear. France doesn't have the same Wind capacity when compared to Solar... But you can see that Nuclear will much lower market share...

I never said Nuclear was dead... Nuclear will be stable but won't be increasing by that much... Solar and Wind will be the big increase...

Wind is just way cheaper than Nuclear...

France is building new nuclear power plants. 14 of them. How many wind turbines equal one nuclear power plant?

14 gwh, in new nuclear power.

Currently France is at 70% nuke.

Nobody in France wants wind turbines, the public is against them

Wind, first you have to answer how many wind turbines equal one nuclear power plant so we have figures to discuss

In Australia which you referenced, electricity is extremely expensive and going up

It will be interesting to see if the UK goes further in debt for wind and solar which are failing in England.

We should remember that the total cost of wind and solar are never factored into those rosy forecasts. Wind and Solar, put a burden on the entire grid, when they do not produce what is advertised, then utilities must purchase power from somewhere else at extreme prices. EXTREME prices, driven by solar and wind, failing.

Energy prices in Europe hit records after wind stops blowing

Credit: Energy Prices in Europe Hit Records After Wind Stops Blowing | Heavy reliance on wind power, coupled with a shortage of natural gas, has led to a spike in energy prices | By Joe Wallace | The Wall Street Journal | Sept. 13, 2021 | www.wsj.com ~~

Natural gas and electricity markets were already surging in Europe when a fresh catalyst emerged: The wind in the stormy North Sea stopped blowing.
The sudden slowdown in wind-driven electricity production off the coast of the U.K. in recent weeks whipsawed through regional energy markets. Gas and coal-fired electricity plants were called in to make up the shortfall from wind.
Natural-gas prices, already boosted by the pandemic recovery and a lack of fuel in storage caverns and tanks, hit all-time highs. Thermal coal, long shunned for its carbon emissions, has emerged from a long price slump as utilities are forced to turn on backup power sources.
