And thus, you hit on the flaw of your argument. The difference between necessary and sufficient causes. A gun is necessary to commit gun violence. However, the presence of a gun is not sufficient to cause gun violence. Likewise, oxygen is necessary for fire, but it is not sufficient to cause fire.
