Think about it. Biden and Company really believe in the stupidity of the American voter that if they shift blame and focus to the oil companies’ record profits, he will deflect accountability for his policies influence and impact on oil prices.

In years past, the congressional committees that were investigating price gouging from the
Big Oil Companies always came up with zero's trying to hang them.
You would think they would learn.
When Congress goes out of its way to attack U.S. oil and gas, when a Dem president vows on video to "end fossil fuels" well the price of gas is going to skyrocket. It's only because the American people are pissed and politicians fear losing their jobs that they are doing anything about it.

I don't know, it worked for Chávez . . . .

Until it didn't.

So you are saying that Oil companies are keeping prices higher as retaliation?

This must be how the drug dealer in your neighbourhood behaves too..

So you support Oil companies price gouging because the US President talked about using other types of energy sources?

How long have you supporter the extortion of the American People...

Of course they are going to get record profits.

When you limit and raise the price on something almost every American in the country needs to live their life, need and not want, they are going to buy more of it. People will buy more for their everyday use and they will buy more to store. Scaring people and ripping them off on cost will just make them buy more.

Course Biden could make this go away by reversing all the policies he reversed from the previous president and put domestic oil production back on as a priority.

There is probably a wee bit of truth to the narrative that there is a cartel among the oil majors, they have been the same, since civilization began drilling, gathering and selling oil.
But, if we are perfectly honest, this has been caused by the regulatory agencies of the federal governments, staffed by all political parties and BIG government.

This is what is known as;

And is a consequence of how the big parities and official legalized corruption in D.C. work. Anyone that supports BIG GOVERNMENT, and government regulation, necessarily will encourage this.

In a healthy market, we should expect to see companies periodically go out of business. Just today, I heard that Revlon declared bankruptcy, partly due to banking mismanagement, and partly due, to the fact it is an old, and out of date company.

The fact that we have energy companies and banking companies that are all well over a century old? Speaks to the corruption in our system. Folks that don't recognize this, either have not been educated properly, or do not understand the de facto realities of the weaknesses within our system.

The DNC feeds off of this, just as much as the GOP however. . . the DNC trying to blame this bug, rather than on their incompetency, which is the height of hypocrisy.

The DNC has ALWAYS loved regulatory capture MORE than the GOP.

The terrible circumstances in our economy and energy woes right now, are the problems caused by purposeful manipulations by self-interested elites, with an agenda they have telegraphed, many times in the past few years.

The folks behind the massive implementation of this planned new system, have only had a vague notion of the benefits which will be accrued, but they did not foresee the ultimate pain which would accompany this transition. IMO.

Just because you say that oil companies are gouging doesn't make it so.
Democrat congressional committees have found that out in the past.
FACT

Why aren't the gutless coward Dems celebrating? This is what they wanted, sky high gas prices to push their climate change BS and 'green' energy. Why aren't Dems on TV daily taking a victory lap?
Because Democrats HATE personal accountability. They want the high energy prices but they want all of the blame to go towards US Energy companies.

Government taking action against oil companies would have the desired effect, but only if the government action was backed up with demands from a large majority of the people.

Half of the American people are of the opinion that big oil is their friend against government.

I know how to bring oil prices down...stop driving for a week. They'll drop like a rock.
But Trump would have flown to OPEC and tell them to cut the Oil supply even more...

Oil prices are high because an American President threatened a number of countries in OPEC to slash the supply. They went F U and did that and now refuse to increase it...

Add in US had cut supply by 20% over the same period...

Lets score your post, filthy Dem lie, stupidity, filthy Dem lie, and filthy Dem lie. Sorry there's not much to work with here.

Congress finds it really hard to determine wrongdoing when the wrongdoing is directly tied to mllions of dollars in campaign funds.

This is not about friendship. This is about government getting in the way for political reasons.
