Mayor's link to Justice Dept. explains why she gave rioters "space to destroy"

Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, who gave rioters “space to destroy” property and reportedly told police to stand down, was a key player in the Justice Dept.’s plan to expand federal control over local law enforcement.

“The federal government can be a strong partner in our efforts in build better relationships between the police and community,” she said in written testimony before the task force.

That would explain her inaction to stop the rioting when it began: by allowing it to spiral out of control, the mayor and her friends at the Justice Dept. could use the unrest to justify the expansion of federal power into local law enforcement, which would also allow her to receive more funding.

President Obama said the Task Force on 21st Century Policing is “directed at the 18,000 law enforcement jurisdictions that are out there.”

Just curious here. Have you seen or read anything that addresses the root cause of these protests and riots against police misconduct? We hear a lot about the consequences of police misconduct, but nothing that addresses the root cause. We hear about the protests and rioting, looting, property damage, burning of buildings and cars, and national guard being called in, but not one single word addressing police brutality, murder, stealing, rape, and other crimes committed by members of law enforcement. Do you have any idea as to why nothing is said about the cause of the riots and protests?

This is what all this about FOLKS. you better wake up and soon

Obama and his ilk wants to FEDERALIZE our police force. and then they will be BEHOLDEN to the Federal Government and NOT you the people

Heres the cause:

America hired 1, 000, 000 men and women to do the job of domestic policing...which often involves human conflict. This job is done in some of the most dangerous, volatile and vice ridden areas of our population.

Of those 1, 000, 000 men and women.....some will become corrupt. Around 1%.

When you can tell me how to find, recruit and retain 1, 000, 000 men and women who can remain perfect in that job...let me know.

Meanwhile. ..ill try to figure out why most Alabama fans murder people after football losses. You killed a few im sure.

There is reporting on police corruption in the alternative news outlets on the internet. Have you tried to research it via a search engine to see how many articles you can bring up reporting on police corruption? More blacks are injured and or die as a result of black on black crime in America.

The thing that needs to be understood is that police brutality in America is not limited to just blacks. Whites have been the victims of police brutality and it just does not receive the level of Press coverage in this country as blacks or other minorities. When it's white police officers brutalizing and or murdering a black person a lot of black people want to take it out on innocent white people. White reporters in Baltimore have been attacked by blacks just for being white and that's not being reported on.

Poor education, lack of employment opportunities, single mother homes (no strong father figure), drugs, gangster rap culture are some of the root causes. Black lives matter...all lives matter....responsibility matters! Take responsibility for your actions.

That's not exactly what I asked. Let me try again, if you don't mind. What is the root cause of the riots and protests? In other words, why are they in the streets looting, burning buildings and cars, and causing personal injury? Are they in the streets because they're bored, have nothing else to do, and just feel like causing trouble?

Yes, I have researched a lot about police misconduct, their animalistic and barbaric conduct, and their Carte Blanche to do as they please. I have read about the judicial system that allows them a free pass 99% of the time. I've read about the cold blooded murders they committed, the rapes, the stealing, the lying in court, the planting of evidence, the spousal abuse, child molestation, and the covering for other officers. All of it is well documented, and known to the general public.

I was asking you the question because it seems to me that you're locked onto the consequences, and not the root cause for what we're seeing take place in Maryland. Do you believe that these riots and protest would be taking place if cops were acting in a manner other than animalistic and barbaric? Do you believe that the root cause is misconduct on the part of cops?

It seems to me that you're asking questions for which you already know the answers to and you just want me to state the obvious as to what set off all this rioting, not peaceful protests, looting and rioting.

What is really being accomplished with all this rioting, which includes attacking innocent people? A more aggressive police state? Baltimore has a black mayor and a black police commissioner and massive peaceful protests and letters of protest from Blacks leaders around the country could have accomplished more than destroying businesses and property in general in Baltimore, especially when the political power structure in Baltimore is dominated by blacks.

Why did the mayor order the police to stand down for five hours? There are some hopping mad business owners in Baltimore that could very well have a lawsuit against the City of Baltimore and that incompetent Mayor. What is the goal here? To have Baltimore looking like Detroit? More federalization of the local police?

Two wrongs do not make a right, I totally agree with you on that point. No, we won't benefit from the destruction of property, looting, and personal injury. Yes, many missteps have been taken, and most by city officials. But, again, this didn't just start from nothing. Has the mayor locked up the officers until trial? Has the mayor called for an independent investigation, conducted by an independent outside agency not connected in any way to law enforcement? Are the cops on paid administrative leave? Would you and I be on paid leave? Would you and I be behind bars awaiting trial? Is justice being served?

They are rioting because they have seen what takes place when cops do wrong. They are rioting because they know in advance that there's a good chance the cops will walk on this. They have seen and read what has happened in New York, Missouri, and other places. They know justice is a joke, and that cops investigate cops. I do not approve of nor condone violence, looting, and the destruction of property, but I do strongly agree that voices must be heard, and sometimes those voices feel the need to take drastic measures in order to be heard by the right people.

These "drastic measures" are only hurting the black community in Baltimore. Again, Baltimores' political power structure is dominated by blacks. The Mayor and the Police Commissioner have the power to investigate police corruption within the police department and so does the U.S. Department of Justice if it involves civil rights violations. It's a bad way to get the "right people" to listen. It gives the hooligans and agitators the excuse to act like amoral destructive fools also.

There's a divide and conquer strategy for America being waged by the powers that be (uber wealthy elite). If the plutocracy/aristocracy can get the middle class and poor, black, white, latino or asian, to start fighting amongst themselves then they can continue robbing the wealth of this country blind and proceed with their globalist-internationalist agenda for America.

Here's some information about the training of police in America that I'll probably receive some flak over, but it's a fact.

Pro-Israel Groups Finance Training U.S. Police in Israel

(The Baltimore Police have been instructed and trained with tactics learned from American instructors that were trained in Israel)

The militarization of American police forces hasn’t been paid for by just the federal government. Pro-Israel groups in the U.S. have also played a role by financing trips for hundreds of law enforcement officers to travel to the Middle East for counter-terrorism training, according to Ali Winston, a contributor to the Center for Investigative Reporting (CIR).

Monies provided by such groups as the Anti-Defamation League, the American Jewish Committee’s Project Interchange and the Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs have made it possible for “at least 300 high-ranking sheriffs and police from agencies large and small – from New York and Maine to Orange County and Oakland, California” to attend privately funded seminars in Israel since the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Winston discovered.

There, they have learned how Israeli security forces deal with demonstrators and armed threats by terrorists. The seminars include field trips to such sites as military installations, surveillance outposts, and checkpoints at the West Bank and the Israeli-Egyptian border. The training includes spending time observing operations conducted by Israel’s Border Patrol, Defense Forces, national police and intelligence services.

U.S. police officials who have undergone such training have come from the Los Angeles and New York police departments, the New York and New Jersey Port Authority Police Department, the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police, and the Major County Sheriffs’ Association. The fact that the former chief of Missouri’s St. Louis County Police Department trained in Israel in 2011 recently came to light following the well-armed police response to protestors in St. Louis-based Ferguson.
