Was Nick Christie a law abiding citizen? Or was he a citizen that was under arrest for public intoxication? The failure of the Lee County Sheriff's Department lies in their inability to recognize that Christie had serious mental problems. He's a man that should have been Baker Acted and put in a hospital for mental evaluation. That didn't happen however because he'd already been arrested for drunk and disorderly.
