I live in Arizona and I read somewhere that a mural in prescot depicting a variety of students of ethnic background was shown. It did not recieve a positive reaction from some people ad they used racial slurs. I don't agree with the racial slurs but I think the anger really stems from political correctness being jammed down our throats. We are constantly being told to accept 'diversity' and if we don't we are judged as anti-diversity or racist.

My question is what if I don't want to embrace this value in my life? Don't I have the basic right of freedom of thought that everyone else does? I know a lot of racism my spread itself around but don't people and societies have a basic right to believe as they want? Shouldn't their freedom of thought be a more important value than 'diversity'?

What I am saying is that we are sacraficing one value for another and we have to decide if the basic freedom from which makes all other freedoms possible is more valuable than creating diversity.
