I don't think gold will be useful if things get as bad as they could. Gold doesnt really matter that much when people are starving. Food is.
What will happen if Obama successfully passes cap and trade. What happens if he succeeds at making gasoline $7 a gallon? How will any farmer afford to get their food to any market? We'd be look at $20 gallons of milk. We'd have incredibly high bread prices. We will have supermarkets looking like they are in third world nations.
Everyone seems to think we will have nothing but prospertity for as long as we all shall live. But it's not reality. Things get better. Things get worse. It's part of life. And if we live in denial of that, we wont be ready when things do get worse. And trust me, this is nothing compared to what it will be if we dont start significantly changing our nation back to the Republic it was designed to be.
