Are Republican Partisans Crossing Over to Vote for Sanders?

No one should help The Democrat Party Implode.

That is the height of Dumbassery.

Let them drown in their own excrement.

Why would any Republican participate in their rigged primaries and bump th wit voter turnout numbers so they can use that to create more propaganda and lies as they try to Waterboard America with on lie after another?

"Would you like to have your old husband back? You know, the one who wasn't crazy and didn't spend his days worshipping Trump and embarrassing you and your family on social media? Help that happen by helping to defeat Trump. It's a secret vote...he never needs to know..."

I know of many who want Sanders because he'll be crushed in a national contest.
I won't disclose whether or not i will participate in such chicanery. :04:

Produce evidence that a Bernie supporter has ever been harassed by a Trump supporter.
You aren't looking at it the way I am looking at it. Yes, I think people would hide their vote for someone not named Trump, when steeped in a trumpkins family or friends circle. Or, especially, a marriage. You are free to disagree and get just as spitting mad as you want about that.

Where I come from, you can vote in whichever party primary you want, for whatever reason you want. If there is nobody to worry about in the party you support and therefore need to put your vote on to insure their place on the ticket, voting in the other party's primary to try to get the easiest to beat is not an uncommon tactic. You do not have to register to a party here to vote in the primary. You just can't vote in both primaries. Obviously your vote for the person or party you choose in the General. Is this unusual in the rest of the country?

Yes, it is unusual. In Maryland people can re-register for a party and fool around that way by choosing a loser Dem, then vote for Trump in the general -- without reregistering, in fact. The only actual point to registering is to vote in primaries: during the time I was disgusted with the Obama administration and the choices for GOP, I reregistered as an Independent. Interesting issue. I've never voted for someone I wanted and expected to lose. Probably Buttgig is the most obvious candidate of that type. I would view Bernie as a chancy bet. I would guess all the Dems that voted for Trump in the primaries because "he was sure to lose" are kicking themselves now.

If we can't beat BERNARD, then we can't beat anyone! If ANY of the other Leftists get the nomination, the chance you get a Leftist President increases, so I say...…..force BERNARD on them!

I think you're wrong. I think Bernie's a strong candidate -- not for us, but for the Left!! and it would be a mistake to help them get him through the primaries. And I hate to think who his VP would be, given s/he is likely to be prez.

A fair point. If only Michelle Obama would declare. If she does, it's in the bag.

That's true, I'm looking at it based on facts and logic, not delusions

Trump supporters get harassed far more by family and friends than Trump supporters. I know that from personal experience.

Why do you argue with obvious facts?

If there are any republicans supporting Sanders it has to be a freaking joke or an attempt to skew the results of the primary. You have to wonder how the premier example of decadent capitalism (Vegas) managed to support a socialist unless you consider that the democrat "majority" vote amounts to a fraction of voters. The media unintentionally leaked the fact that democrats were having trouble finding volunteers. When the media panned out on voting areas they were virtually empty. Sanders might get the majority of democrat voters but the voting pool is laughable.

If so, just dont admit to it.

You are giving Sanders due consideration for President, and keep a straight face while your at it.
And this is why one of the best messages to beat Trump is to remind people that their votes are secret. Especially people living in trump country and trumpkin families.

Here is what I'm seeing from 30 miles west of the Canada/US Border:

I'm seeing young under-35 voters rising and saying to their conservative parents: the billionaires have sucked us dry, and here we are saddled with $40,000 in student debt, working two jobs to keep a roof over our heads, and having no hope of moving out of their parents' basements, while American is home to more billionaires than any nation in the world.

They look at nations like Canada, Norway and Germany and see that our tax dollars are being spent on healthcare, education and infrastructure, and wonder why, if America is the richest nation in the world, why Boomers, who had cheap education, union wages and benefits, and a chance of moving into the middle class, are now saddling their generation with the credit card bill for all of the benefits the Boomers had growing up, along with the costs for all of the nation's wars since Reagan was in office.

.The Billionaire Media is still selling the idea that socialism = communism. To these young, first time voters, Trump is just more of the same fiscal policies that have been destroying the American middle class since Reagan. Republican leaders' worst nightmare is coming true: Poor whites, poor blacks, and poor latinos are joining forces with young voters who are seeing their chance for the American Dream drowining in a sea of debt, to effect an economic revolution.

Americans have voted for "change" in the past 3 elections, and have yet to get it. I think they will continue to toss out those who don't deliver them a better economic deal than they're getting.

You have it exactly backwards which is why the polls were sooooooo wrong in 16.
It's the Democrats who will be voting for Trump while claiming otherwise on the exit polls.

I've got news for you, dingbat, the Canadian border runs East/West, not North South. That just about says it all about your post.

Actually believe they are.

They do not have to vote to nominate Trump, so they crossover to run someone that will lose badly to Trump!

Tried to look up a list of states requiring part affiliation to register to vote. Difficult for some reason, but turns out states not requiring affiliation is not that unusual, after all. Did YOU Have to Make a Party Declaration to Register to Vote? - Straight Dope Message Board Found the question on this linked website with state after state respondents. Suspect states the require it, are just last vestiges of party in power trying line of the sheep. Very reassuring.
