The left is scared of Newt. Him out there saying the very factual statement that "Obama is the most successful food stamp president ever" stings, and it is something that will resonate with the majority of Americans that aren't on foodstamps.

The majority of Americans who aren't on foodstamps, but also struggling to provide for their families. The majority of Americans still view foodstamps as a negative, something they attempt to avoid at all costs, even if that means going hungry more often.

The black community doesn't share that sentiment. Hell, the NAACP thinks it's racist to release the percentage of food stamp recipients that are black, upwards of 70%. 70% of welfare, over 50% of prison population, 75% fatherless children- and it is the right that is racist for saying these FACTS.

Any black person, that in the face of these dismal statistics, will continue to vote for the same party that the black community has mindlessly supporting, is completely devoid of any intelligent thought.

Newt shot back at Gregory rather well in my opinion, but he could have done an even better job of it. The fact is the number of people on food stamps has increased greatly since Barry took office. But how can that be if, for example, the $800+ Billion stimulus is working as they allege? Eight percent was supposed to be the unemployment high water mark as a result of the stimulus, but everyone with but a few functioning brain cells knows we blew right by 8% in spite of the stimulus. More folks not working; more folks on food stamps.

Here's what Gregory said, "First of all you gave a speech, in Georgia, with language a lot of people think could be coded racially tinged language calling the president, the first black president, a food stamp president."

IMO that's where Newt should have cut Gregory's nuts off. "A lot of people? How many is a lot, David? Ten...fifty...two hundred...several hundred, thousands?" "The facts are we've got more people on food stamps today than when Obama took office despite his stimulus and everything else he's done. So, yes, he's the food stamp president and the only racism involved comes from people like you and others who've invented it out of thin air."

He could be considered the "Food Stamp" President. Prior to the economic meltdown that created such a large swath of unemployment or the need for supplemental food stamp relief, there were already 25 MILLION WHite Families on Welfare and collecting FOod Stamps. Following the meltdown the working poor WHite Americans that were downsized, lay-off, and having to accept unemployment benefits has also had to register and sign up for Food stamps. That would be approximately another 10 MILLION hard hit White American Families "forced" to sign up for supplemental benefits, including FOOD STAMPS. Prior to the economical meltdown there were 30 MILLION White people living below the poverty line. You all are absolutely right. President Obama is the Food Stamp President.

LOL. You "ASSUMED" that the food stamps were a hit against Black People? Sorry NO. THis was a spin of Newts to redirect the truth. White employees that always assumed they would be employed and protected found themselves in the position of having to apply for Food Stamps and supplemental benefits to go along with their unemployment checks. Most lost the homes they had and are now living in the basement of their parents home, with their own families. lol.

Thank you for your honesty. Just because they may be liberals, does not mean they are not racist.

Abraham Lincoln was a racist. He never said Blacks were equal to whites, he could just see the writing on the wall and decided to snatch a victory from defeat. His white counterparts did not understand what he was doing and killed him unnecessarily. White slaveowners were being killed, along with their families and the overseers. He knew slavery had come to its' end.

Just like it would depend on the same thing in the Black community. How quickly you offer reasons when white people are at question. Just like there are single parents Black families, there are single parent white families. Do you really believe we think there is this purity in white america that all white children are born IN wedlock? No... No. We are not as foolish as you believe us to be.

There are single, divorced, separated, and in committed long-term relationships in the Black community as there are in the white. We just don't close our eyes and try to sell a line of bullsh!t to other races, like we are the pure race.

The same excuses you are seeking for single white families could also be applied to Black families.
