Some Arab and Muslim states are posturing in support of the Palestinians but haven't entered the fray. Could it be that they might actually benefit from the destruction of HAMAS. The Palestinians have been a bigger pain in the ass for the Arab world than Israel. They have brought the region to the brink of conflict many times. Bibi and Hamas do not want to see two states. I'm not sure there's reliable info about what Palestinians want. But, aside from Iran - that may not actually give two figs for the Palestinians (there's a joke in there) - I think most Arab states would prefer a two state solution. Jordan, the Saudies, UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, and probably Iran and Qatar. I'm not sure about Egypt, really. Who wants to be neighbors with Hamas, LOL.

I'll be curious to see if Oct. 7 causes a change in Israeli opinion, which was decidely split between secular and religious and uber-zionist. And I'll be curious if the "settlers" will be called out for spitting at Christians and bullying Palestinian arabs in the al-aqsa mosque before Oct 7. The Israeli govt encourages them, and the IDF actually escorts the "settlers" in their attacks.

The problem with a two state solution is simply that the Palestinians have to be able to govern themselves, which decades show is not happening. And the western world isn't going to go after Hamas as we did al Quida.

The reality is most of the Arab world, thanks to Trump Admin, has embraced Israel, we see that through the Abraham Accords, the only folks that haven't are Iran, terrorist, and the Demafascist...all of which see a free, and stable Middle East as a threat
