The Oscars have become boring because of predictable and fashionable bigotry.

Black people are not the only group discriminated against in Hollywood. Asians are ridiculed. Catholics and Christians in general are treated unfairly.

Priests are no more likely to commit sex abuse than other groups. Yet they are singled out for attack. When do you suppose Hollywood will give an Oscar to a movie about rabbis or filmmakers committing sex abuse?

Hollywood seems to like losing money making tiresome preachy movies attacking people who aren't limousine liberals.

Perhaps bringing it all to light on the big screen helps the victims to heal... So many suffered in silence. It is not attacking the faith, just the scumbags who used their power to sexually abuse the victims.

That said, the Vatican has viewed the film, and it's their move.
