I remember one of his first shows, in Iceland. God, he hated that place. He ripped it up one side and down the other and complained the whole time he was there. It was great.Holy Shit. That’s awful. He had one of the best shows on television.
He went through his travel seasons, chef seasons and political seasons, and he was always thoughtful, interesting and funny. I'm really saddened that he was so sad and that he's gone.

Anthony Bourdain, CNN host and celebrity chef, dead at 61
Celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain was found dead early Friday morning. He was 61.
CNN's Brian Stelter announced on-air Friday that Bourdain hanged himself.
"Anthony was found dead this morning in his hotel room in France. He had hung himself, in his hotel room," Stelter said.
The outspoken chef was reportedly found unresponsive by close friend and French chef Eric Ripert. The network said he was working on an upcoming episode of his show “Anthony Bourdain: Parks Unknown.”
"It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain," CNN said in a statement. "His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller. His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time."
