Another Victim Of Obama's Failed Foreign Policy

The last POTUS who really had any truly positive effect on the Isreali issue was who again?

JIMMY CARTER.

well, the reality is, there's not a lot a president of EITHER stripe can do when the pals show up, get 98% of what they're asking.. and then say they can't make a deal because the coward negotiating for them says "i can't make a deal or i'll be drinking tea with rabin".

sadat was just brave enough to die for peace. arafat wasn't.

and how do you get peace from a terrorist group like hamas that has as its objective the destruction of israel. and until you get past that, you can't even get to what netanyahu would do. no matter what the president was to do. NO MATTER WHAT the pretend rabbi says.

different players.

As long as Hamas and Hezbullah are in the picture there will never be a peace brokered between Isreal and Palestine.

Won't make any difference who's in the WH.

As long as Israel and Palestine exists there will never be peace between Israel and Palestine.

Don't read into that, I'm not saying I don't want either to exist, just saying they're deep seeded religion-based hatred will exist until the end of time.

Umm..."Palestine" dosen't exist.:eusa_whistle:

The Jews and the Palestinians still can't get along? Shocking.

This is Obama's fault how?

Yes this seems to be a partisan stretch (or deflection?) to find fault with the Obama Administration whose serious failings are rooted in the ballooning national debt (declining value of the dollar), unemployment, and illegal immigration.

Recall that Obama launched this effort with great fanfare and was convinced he would succeed where others had failed.
Yes, every president basically since Nixon has tried to hammer out some kind of peace accord. Virtually all of them failed. So the idea that Obama was going to be different speaks to his unbridled arrogance and unrealistic view of his abilities. This man couldn't get the Olympic Games to Chicago. How was he going to negotiate a peace treaty in the most tendentious conflict in the world?

Obama's foreign policy is as much a failure as his domestic policy.

Obama goes in with the same policies that have repeatedly failed. How could he expect anything different?

"Justice Department Inspector General in October 2008 found that the process used to fire the first seven attorneys and two others dismissed around the same time was "arbitrary", "fundamentally flawed", and "raised doubts about the integrity of Department prosecution decisions."

Why do the Bushbots always, always try to re-write history?

Why do the Bushbots always, always try to re-write history?

And why do Left-wingers always have to lie:
from the same page, next sentence and following:
In July 2010, the Department of Justice prosecutors closed the two-year investigation without filing charges after determining that the firing was inappropriately political, but not criminal, saying "Evidence did not demonstrate that any prosecutable criminal offense was committed with regard to the removal of David Iglesias. The investigative team also determined that the evidence did not warrant expanding the scope of the investigation beyond the removal of Iglesias."[25]

So there was one case that might have been inappropriately political but did not rise to criminal. Of all the DAs fired.

There was no lie. The article was posted to demostrate that the attorney's were not simply replaced after they had served their 4 year terms. The process was "inappropriately political" where the justice department had been off limits to inappropriate political bullshit until this.

Ah yes poor poor, ah, um, what's the victims name again?

Victim to the stalled negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians that the Obama Adminitration caused?

Not takin side but you reminded me of people that claim Obama won the NPP for "being black" and that he saved the economy by not getting the country out of a recession and UE going 2% higher than he said would happen without the stimulus. I’m still trying to figure out how he saved the economy and earned the NPP… Seems Obama can do lots of important things that have the opposite effect as he claimed it would and still get like mad props, from a decreasing number of people I should add thankfully.

I suppose that's why it's so important to support the planned de facto state to be established in the Palestinian territory(s) later this year. The recent reconciliation between Hamas and Fatah was the last issue for the Palestinians and now that’s behind them, the future looks bright and perhaps we can see an end to Israeli colonialism and Israeli apartheid.

Finally they'll get the right to self govern, with all of the privileges and responsibilities that come along with it.

Except what you cited didnt show that.
Fail.

Good. Now Palestinians can get fleeced by both Hamas and Fatah instead of having to pick sides.
They could have had their own state about 10 years ago but Arafat decided he'd be dead if he concluded a peace treaty with Israel.
Now with Hamas sharing power Israel won't have much choice but to go back in and annex the territories and expel the Palestinians back to Jordan where they belong.

With the support of the US, the EU and the Mid-East Quartet, (along with virtually every other independent nation) it stands a great chance of becoming a successful nation state.

Either way, it should stop Israeli colonialism and apartheid or at least bring it out in the open for debate, maybe sanctions against the offending nation as was done with South Africa, we’ll see.
