Note the US toll of dead and wounded for ONE DAY, not mentioned in any major news outlet, compared to the UK, where a single wounding in a single shooting is headline news. To equal US levels the UK would have needed 4 fatalities and 7 woundings. One can see how strict firearms laws contribute to the safety of UK residents. Well, unless of course one is a raving loony.

Nope...but with the stories I have seen of Americans with little to no training driving off attackers, I know that you don't have to be a Navy SEAL to use a gun to save a life.
