Crime is not a static situation...as demographics and culture change, so does crime...

In the U.S....as more Americans owned and carried guns, our gun crime rate went down 75%, our gun murder rate went down 49%, and our violent crime rate went down 72%......so guns and gun ownership by normal people was not driving the crime rate here...

In Britain....they had low gun murder rates before they banned guns.....they banned guns, and used to have low gun murder rates right after....now....the British police state that they can't stop the increasing flood of illegal guns into Britain...and now they can't contain the gun violence....

The demographics of Britain have changed, the culture of Britain has changed, and now their violent crime is reflecting that change...

Rise in Wirral shootings suggests gun crime is no longer stopping at the tunnels

The days when gun crime appeared to stop at the Mersey could be over following a surge in shootings on Wirral.

While other areas of Merseyside have suffered over the past decade, shootings on the peninsula have been few and far between.

But five firearms incidents so far this year suggest the criminal climate could be changing - though detectives are fighting to halt any upsurge in violence.

Last month saw two shootings in Birkenhead - one that left two men injured and another that, while no-one was hurt, is being treated as an attempted murder.

They followed three other firearm attacks this year - all of which have left victims with gunshot wounds.

While five shootings in eight months - all of which have been in Birkenhead - may not seem a significant number, it represents a serious rise on previous years.

To put the figures into context, the ECHO is not aware of any confirmed shootings on Wirral in 2016 or 2018.

Most of the shootings are thought to have been targeted and typically involved shotguns, though the last attack was carried out with a handgun.

Men have been questioned over three of the investigations and police believe much of the violence is linked to drugs.

Are you suggesting that criminals break the law and buy illegal weapons? Well, that just defies logic! Who could have predicted that?

2aguy has a gun fetish and wants every country to be as fucked up as ours.

You act like that can't change, and that it isn't changing right now.......British police have stated they can't stop the increasing flow of illegal guns into the country....do you understand what they are saying with that statement?
