An American health-care worker who contracted Ebola while treating patients in Sierra Leone is in serious condition, the National Institutes of Health said Friday.
The NIH said the health-care worker was admitted at 4:44 a.m. Friday to its high-containment facility on its Bethesda, Md., campus, after being evacuated to the U.S. by chartered jet. No further details were released American with Ebola in serious condition at Maryland hospital - MarketWatch

Importing a disease that spreads through all known body fluids is not a great practice...

Little achey? Been to West Africa lately? Feeling a bit warm are you?...

Ebola is a major issue in west africa because of the burial practices there. Where touching and cleaning the body by family members is integral to the burial process.

We don't have that here. And Ebola isn't anywhere near as infectious as say, measles. And we kept that shit in check.

Oh, and ebola isn't airborne. You'd have to have someone sneeze great globules of spittle into your open mouth to transmit the disease. There's no known case of tranmission from casual exposure. And while its theoretically possible, its ridiculously unlikely. Meaning that it wouldn't spread effectively at all.

You need physical contact with blood, feces and vomit of an infected person to catch the disease. And those are three bodily fluids that generally don't get spread around on say, an elevator. Or a public bus.

A sneeze droplet in the eye, on the hand then doorknob...then another hand, scratches the eye...the same way the common cold gets passed along. Some sneeze droplets can aerosol up to 30 feet away. You really could be just one bus ride away with an infected person.

Technically, perhaps. In practice, its virtually unheard of as the viral loads in saliva are so utterly low. And a method of transmission that has an essentially 0% rate of infection isn't a significant public health risk.

Ebola isn't airborne. The only method of transmission that is even remotely consistent is physical contact with feces, vomit or blood of a victim. Which is kinda obvious.

You sound like a liberal right now. When they talk about how a gun has magical powers and hypnotizes people into running off on a murderous rampage. You're a damn fool who doesn't know what you're talking about.

So what's the U.S. body count from this horrendous and dangerous plague?

That was awesome! You felt sorry for her......so you cushioned your blow with that dopey meme regarding liberals and guns. What a sweetheart.
