1 I don't think Glenn has a monopoly on love, charity and peace. Maybe not even a good idea of the concepts.

When did I say he did? Hell, when did I ever even imply that? I simply asked an honest and rational question - why would liberals vehemently oppose a man who stands for (in both words and actions) what liberals claim to stand for as well?

Courage: Glenn's shows typically prey on people's fears... I am not sure that qualifies. He doesn't seem to have personal courage, more than once on the radio have I heard him pleading to listeners to call for an investigation in case he dies mysteriously because of the secrets about the Obama administration that he is revealing.

Honor: What kind of honor does to take to convince your audience to buy gold at a 30% markup or to talk some poor old grandmother into buying $6000 worth of freeze dried food (food insurance).

Social welfare programs are not and should not be based on charity or love. Social welfare is about creating a baseline standard of living for every member of society, which in turn creates a stable and productive society. Making sure everyone has a place to live, food to eat, potable water, basic health care, etc. ensures that people aren't dying in the street, helps keep down disease and revolt and all the other social ills that societies have dealt with throughout the ages.

Charitable giving is about an expression of kindness and love. It's based primarily on the kindness the giver has for the recipient and may have little relationship to social need. For example a program that deals with at risk young people in poor neighbors might well receive little charitable support while a program to save abused animals may receive huge donations because of the emotion appeal although there is little social value.
