This whole blowup could easily have been avoided. Someone on a high-lift could have removed that flag, and put it at half mast. Most would have thought it appropriate, and there would never have been the controversy. As it is, the leaving of that flag up at full mast when the US flag, and state flag were at half mast was an indication that the lives of black people, no matter how good their citizenship, does not matter. Remember, that was the flag flown by those that fought to keep their ancestors in slavery.

First, you made this claim in another thread and it was answered, SC law does not provide for that particular flag to be flown at half mast. The mast has no truck. Also it requires a legislative act to take it down.

Second, and definitely not least, can you provide a link that any of the 9 were decedents of slaves, I haven't seen anything suggesting one way or the other. But that's really irrelevant because all lives matter. The position of the flag really doesn't matter, because it's not an official State or federal flag, those were lowered.

Well now, if the position of that flag does not matter, having it down in a display case rather than on top of a pole is not a problem. Glad you pointed that out.

Its a terrorist symbol of secession, sedition, treason and slavery.

Why not put the ISIL flag up there too? Or the nazi flag.

Terrorists are terrorists.

Then they could have just taken down the entire pole like they did in other states.

That's really stupid, it's not an official flag.
