First of all nobody is suggesting the US become a socialistic nation.
Obviously people that say such things do not know the meanings of the word socialism.

Secondly the US has long provided socialistic like assistance to large corporations. ( small business does not get in on that socialistic corporate money) But we pay for pipelines, roads, ports , utilities and forgive corporate taxes and loans all in the name of them getting out and doing business and hopefully creating American jobs.

So it boils down to this people claiming the US is going socialistic, haven't got a clue what they are talking about. They are buying into talking points from places like Fox news. And thereby buying into exactly what corporate America wants them to so big companies can keep right on raping the American tax payer and our natural resources.

I remembered a comment from someone from the U.K. that said this about us decades ago.

Americans will never accept socialism--if they know what it is--& or they see it coming. "It will take an "economic crisis" with Americans not looking.

According to the author of the above quote--we as Americans value our FREEDOM--over health care, over taxes--over defictis--& our own lives.

It's an inherit trait in every American.
