The vast, vast, vast majority of people who happen to have found themselves in a certain geographic/historic/religious position just want to live their lives and care for their families, but there has always been an element that thinks it would be better to drag the rest of the world back to the Dark Ages than to drag their own sorry asses into the present. The influence of such cretins waxes and wanes over the centuries, and now there are organizations and movements in a position to accumulate enough wealth and influence to manipulate the weak and needy among them for truly evil purposes.

Recognizing that mistakes have been made is not the same as hating America. This is the nationalistic attitude that brought us the patriot act and NDAA. Sometimes the president has fucked up and done things that pissed people off. That's a fact. Now if you want to pretend that's not true then you are living in a fantasy land. The question is how do we fix it. You apparently advocate for more of the same while I am in the lets reassess our goals/plans camp.
