America needs to realize that nothing is for free. Our deficit is over a trillion dollars and congress/the President have no plan to reduce it anytime soon.

We need to pay the piper. If the American people are unwilling to accept the fact that the government has NO responsibility (nor do they have the means) to provide for our retirement, our food, our housing, our jobs, our education, our medical care, etc....then we need to pony up and pay for it.
Nothing is free....so until Americans feel the pain of taxes to pay for these programs, nothing will change.

Using simple math...all taxes should double. And what ever is left over should pay off the debt.

No, the spendaholic politicians need to understand that nothing is free and they can quit coming up with crap and sending the bill to the workers.

They still send billions in aid to countries, some of which are hostile towards us. Obama's stimulus went to build green companies overseas. Gee, like we don't need jobs. They practically invite millions more illegal aliens so we can spend billions more on them.

Maybe those who decide at an early age that they can rely on gubmint instead of preparing for their own future should be taught that nothing is free. Maybe all those who believe that they will get "free" healthcare, thanks to Obama'uncaring' should realize that somebody somewhere will bear the cost.

We've had many, many tax increases and Obamacare will be the biggest ever. The debt will not go down no matter how much money these incompetent boobs confiscate. If they take more money, they will spend more.

Do you believe Obama seriously wants to make job-friendly policies, help the economy and pay down the debt? He hasn't shown the slightest interest in any of that and has consistently done just the opposite. He taught Alinsky's methods as a professor. If he believes what he taught, he's right on track and instead of hitting the brakes, expect him to hit the accelerator.

What maximum nutballs don't seem to get is if the first $35k to $50k of personal income was tax free AND THOSE LOW INCOME SUBSIDIES ENDED AT THE SAME TIME, there would be a net gain for all taxpayers.

It is incredibly expensive to tax low income folks for two reasons: the paperwork isn't worth it, and huge numbers get money back they didn't pay in.

When nutballs come to terms with the need to stop taxing the first X number of dollars of personal income and FORCE fake liberals to stop giving back money that never existed, then maybe an honest dialog can start toward getting control of government spending. For what its worth military spending and corporate welfare/tax breaks cost taxpayers a significant multiple of actual welfare payments to individuals.

Until then it'll remain the usual clown show of people like Windy Mathews bloviating around Pigboy Limbaugh, and both of them making excuses for the actual and borderline crooks on their side, and so on and so forth. Decent people don't have representation in today's American government.

You guys don't get it. Only about 30% of the population pay any attention to politics....they have no clue what is going on nor do they care, and politicians know this.
The population is sweet-talked every couple of years to vote for candidates that will "fight for women's rights" or "the poor", etc. they buy it and vote them in. In turn they spend money on pet projects to get their voters to vote for them again...and it works.

You are right....my point is that if WE want these programs...(judging by the election we do)....then WE need to pay for it, not borrow it from China and making our grandchildren pay for it ...with interest!!!
