After the Mueller report — what comes next?

You heard we are having an election. removing him is not the point.
Maybe you should tell that to all the zealot leftist who want him removed from office via impeachment.
Warren calls on House to begin impeachment proceedings against Trump

Do you not follow the news?
yes I follow the news.

I am saying they know the senate will not remove him. Impeachment is vauable to the politics of the election campain.

If Trump wasn't in office tomorrow, for any reason, the democrats would cry, knowing they lost all their election talking points

You can't even get half the democrats in Congress to be in favor of impeachment. How are you going to remove him from office? What a bunch of pathetic Charlie Browns.
Republicans have controlled the narrative for the last two years; that changed last January.

Mueller links Trump and campaign to 11 instances of potential obstruction

"The report on the findings of the special counsel’s two-year investigation was delivered in two volumes, with Volume I devoted to the Russian efforts and Volume II devoted to alleged obstruction of justice by Trump and his campaign.

It includes lengthy legal musing by Mueller’s team about whether it would be appropriate to charge the president with a crime – a step Mueller ultimately elected not to take. But among the episodes of the president’s conduct that Mueller investigated as potential obstructions of justice were:

"Trump’s efforts to fire Mueller.

  • Trump’s firing of the former FBI director James Comey.

  • Trump’s efforts to hijack oversight of the Mueller investigation.

  • Trump’s order to the White House counsel, Donald McGahn, to deny that Trump had tried to fire Mueller.

  • Trump’s conduct with regard to associates who have pleaded guilty to crimes, including Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort and Michael Cohen.
"Trump’s 'repeated efforts to get McGahn to create a record denying that the President had directed him to remove the special counsel' are held up for special scrutiny. Trump told McGahn twice to order the deputy attorney general, Rod Rosenstein, to fire Mueller, McGahn told Mueller.

“McGahn recalled the president telling him ‘Mueller has to go” and ‘Call me back when you do it’,” the report says."

Who's the more likely liar here, McGahn, Mueller, Comey, and Cohen or Donald J Trump?

Of course the threat of impeachment is an important tool for getting the base all agitated. But it also works against the democrats by doing the same for the republicans.

the dems, or at least some of them bellieve they have a majority on their side. The ones calling for impeachment must believe they will benifit more than be hurt.

Of course that's their belief. But which way will the polarized democrat party turn? To the reasonably crazy left?
Or to the utterly insane left?

that question remains to be answered

After reading the report my opinion is it is written to fuel a continued debate.

According to what we have been told this is exactly what the russians, who we are told interfered in the election(s) desired.

If that is true, russia won.

In other effects, I think it sets the stage for elections to come.

Yupp!
The unhinged left continues to do Russian bidding!
This makes them seditious bastards.

Robert Mueller Let Donald Trump Duck Direct Questions About Obstruction

"'During the course of our discussions, the President did agree to answer written questions on certain Russia-related topics, and he provided us with answers,' the second volume of the report, which concerns the obstruction-of-justice side of the special counsel’s work, states.

"'He did not similarly agree to provide written answers to questions on obstruction topics or questions on events during the transition. Ultimately, while we believed that we had the authority and legal justification to issue a grand jury subpoena to obtain the President's testimony, we chose not to do so.'"
