Afghanistan and Joe Biden. A short video that shows succinctly why this man has no business in the White House...

Whatever Trump accomplished has been turned around on it's head by the Bai Dung administration. If Trump said go, Bai made it stop. This is plainly shown by not only Afghanistan but the now border crisis and the return of Covid-19 virus with a vengeance.
Do you talk like that in real life? Trying to take a hard partisan stand on Afghanistan is folly. After all this time everyone has blood on their hands and we all have to accept our guilt in the matter.

So why do you think Trump has no place in a discussion on the Afghanistan pullout?
Because Trump is a private citizen and, as such, has exactly no impact on troop withdrawal.

Look, like it or not, this is the job Biden wanted. He wanted to be the guy at the helm when this started. If he chose to go into this operation without a viable plan, then that's his fault and no one else's.

If you wanted to blame Trump for any of this, you should've left him in office...

Trump was the guy who finally got the right to support getting out. Before Trump came along the republicans were solidly in favor of staying there forever. At no point was there ever a substantial opposition from democrats for ending the war.

Have you somehow forgotten who started this pullout by negotiating with the Taliban and cutting the Afghan government out of the talks? Have you forgotten who set a ridiculously short timeline that had to be pushed back?

Look Asswipe, let's get this straight:
  1. Biden abandoned the Trump plan.
  2. Biden changed all the details only concerned with stealing credit for ending the war there from Trump and he did not care about the consequences of how he did it!
  3. Biden is in charge. He wasn't bound to do anything he did, the WAY he did it. No one told him to disenfranchise Afghan's own military and no one but him made the decision to leave all of our vast military hardware there.
Trump is long gone now, bonehead and Joe is calling the shots. This is all his baby.

Being angry does not make your arguments any better. Biden is in charge and he did change some parts for the sake of our troops and collaborators but the end result is the same. The Taliban was always going to end up in our power vacuum and it was going to suck. The people of Afghanistan will pay a heavy price for allowing Taliban rule but in the end it's what they would rather have than a foreign occupation.

Joe did this for one reason only: to steal the credit from Trump for ending the Afghan war for himself but he fucked it all up. As to the people there, they have no choice but to succumb---- it would seem that everyone but Joe Biden knew the Taliban would swamp the country as just in July, Joe declared at a press conference that it was "unlikely" the Taliban would EVER take over the country!

That makes Biddum an idiot, delusional or a liar.

The Afghan military folded up like a dollar store lawn chair. The future of Afghanistan depended on them and they failed after all the money time and effort we spent on them. Not sure how you think they would have been any better last year with even less time to prepare for a Taliban offensive.

How we got out and this shameful debacle is all, 100% Biden.

I have never seen a presidency go up in smoke like this within a matter of months.

Don't make us laugh. The rapid collapse is all on Joe's hands because he was so damned eager to try to steal the limelight from Trump denying him credit for ending the war that Joe disenfranchised the Afghan military making them illegitimate now in the eyes of their own countrymen destroying moral and support.

And that is not my opinion but the opinions of a collective of foreign policy experts across four networks I just watched most of which voted for Joe Biddum.

It is clear to everyone that this man is incompetent and a danger and cannot make decisions nor lead.

That is your opinion. A lot of people seem to have them these days. No one seems to want any blame though. The war had to end and this was always how it was going to end up. Take your share of this shit sandwich and like it.

That is your opinion.

WHAT WAS THE FIRST THING I SAID? Can't you even fucking read? Between CBS, ABC, NBC and Fox, they have national news shows on Sunday morning from 9AM to 11:30 or 12 noon. Go back and look them up and watch the videos: that was the unanimous opinion of all of them discussing the failures of the Biddum foreign policy. And most of them were democrats.

I'll take your word for it, I don't watch those shows. There's a lot of people who opposed our pullout on humanitarian grounds and for me that one is a tough pill to swallow. We kicked the can down the road for far too long. Unless your opinion is that we should never have left I'm wondering how you think this could have been any different.
