I just wanted to put this link out here for anyone that might want to do this! What a great gift for our Military that are deployed and away from their families at Christmas 
My daughter did this last year, she adopted a female soldier in Afghanistan, and another that was in the Navy. You get their emails to talk to them and find out what they like and need. The 2 my daughter corresponded with were so appreciative, and she sent out 2 or 3 packages each out to them. I think the women have the hardest time getting things that they need....and they're necessities.
Many have no family, or they don't have family that can do much for them. My son left for Afghanistan about a month ago, he expects to be there until April, so "another" Christmas without his family.
