Ok but that still doesn't refute my argument. Suicide and transgenderism isn't synonymous.
The suicide rate for post surgery is still extraordinarily high.

In the most scientific study of the famous Jack the Ripper of London, they identified the criminal with a never suspected popular painter of the time. I forgot the name. He was documented to be a transgender by the doctors who operated on his dick like three times, to reconstruct it and fill in the hole across the center of it with which he was born.

So, being a transgender can lead you to be a criminal, if not castrated early enough, although it leads you to be a prostitute only, most of the time, so it is okay.

17 year olds are pretty sexual, by nature. They're at peak hormone production. In Dhara's defense, I think she is responding to something her child is and has been experiencing and expressing for quite some time. Nor do I think that transsexuals are deviants.

I think you have a pretty narrow view of sexuality.

Teens also romanticize practically everything. And later change their minds. Not sure what effect the hormones would have on their mental outlook. I would tell the kid to do it when they could afford it and in the meantime not let gender be the only thing that defines their life.

ChrisL? Really? You had to go there.

The problem I see here is how can we quantify the benefits of surgery or whatever treatment is used? Suicide reduction? Happiness? Longevity? Then how do these percentages compare to those untreated? It seems rather unclear, so a fairly long well thought out approach would be the best course.
