A whole lot of nothing

House Republican: "It's not a perfect bill, but directionally, it's going in the right place."

That's a catchy bumper sticker huh?

The passage of the bill has isolated the far right economic cons.

They supported Trump so this would not happen.

They have no where to go, and their likely voting may well go down.

Obamacare: Guaranteed free stuff from government.

Trumpcare: Not quite as much free stuff from government.

GOP, how is that a winner?

The definition of repeal: "to revoke or annul a law. To rescind or nullify." The Republicans aren't doing that. Don't call it repeal

Now we have the pretext of religion
NEW YORK — President Donald Trump today signed an executive order that would allow religious organizations to endorse political candidates and expand participation in politics. The executive order signed today also enables private employers to use religion as a pretext to deny reproductive health care to their employees.
.
American Civil Liberties Union Executive Director Anthony D. Romero issued the following statement:
“The actions taken today are a broadside to our country’s long-standing commitment to the separation of church and state. Whether by executive order or through backroom deals, it’s clear that the Trump administration and Congressional leadership are using religion as a wedge to further divide the country and permit discrimination. We intend to file suit today.”
ACLU Promises Litigation on Today’s Trump Executive Order

IMO the whole Senate system needs revamped. They've voted themselves too

many privileges.

Repeal the 17th Amendment and return to the method prescribed by our founding fathers.
The ratification of that amendment changed system constitutionally.

Live by it, where_r.

Repealing it would change the system back to where it was prior to the amendment.

Imagine how many fewer, if any at all, unfunded mandates the states would suffer under if the state legislatures made the choice for their senators and thus the STATES were represented in Washington, as was the original intent.

Half the ACLU can prepare to go back to prison where they belong.

If Trump succeeds in smashing the ACLU to bits he will be instant legend!

I think it's happening, ACLU is going down!

They have zero ground to stand on.

The states are not the answer, where_r. The people through the elected senators and reps are the answer.

A question FakeyJakey: How do the people get through to "the elected senators and reps" around the lobbyists?

What?! Please elaborate.

So it isn't really single payer. I think that an easier method would be you go to the hospital, the hospital bills the government and the government pays, less money, lower overheads, no out of pocket, no insurance premiums, no deductions. I don't think that will happen, it would be to logical for the government and would cut insurance providers completely out.
There would need to oversight of the billing to ensure cost control analysis, but, sure, if that works better, yes.

See how much better you can communicate by not being a fucking asshole. Thanks for the info.
See, you acted the asshole. I knew you could not let a reasonable discusstion stand. You can't let go of being corrected over the years.

Papa, when you are wrong, I will call you out. That's our life together. It will always happen.

You were making sense for once, so I rode it until you had to act all Correll like. <<

In this thread, you made a lot of sense. Good on you.

No you are purposely an asshole and you prove it over and over, thanks for continuing to prove that this conversation is an aberration. BTW, we have no life together.
You provoked it because you cannot be thought of as less than competent. So I corrected you, yet again. That is our connection here.

Be polite. That is all you have to do to get it return. Correll just could not do it, and apparently you are just as broken.

Fuck off you stupid shit head, that polite enough for you?

A chimp would understand, so, no, MalarkeyMarion, you just get "not once more."
