A Republican Case for Climate Action

I was reading this article in the New York Times. Seems the former heads of the EPA under Nixon, Reagan, Bush and Bush are working together trying to educate Republicans on Climate Change.

Hilarious!

EACH of us took turns over the past 43 years running the Environmental Protection Agency. We served Republican presidents, but we have a message that transcends political affiliation: the United States must move now on substantive steps to curb climate change, at home and internationally.

There is no longer any credible scientific debate about the basic facts: our world continues to warm, with the last decade the hottest in modern records, and the deep ocean warming faster than the earth’s atmosphere. Sea level is rising. Arctic Sea ice is melting years faster than projected.

The costs of inaction are undeniable. The lines of scientific evidence grow only stronger and more numerous. And the window of time remaining to act is growing smaller: delay could mean that warming becomes “locked in.”

As administrators of the E.P.A under Presidents Richard M. Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George Bush and George W. Bush, we held fast to common-sense conservative principles — protecting the health of the American people, working with the best technology available and trusting in the innovation of American business and in the market to find the best solutions for the least cost.

A Republican Case for Climate Action

I almost "spewed" when I read this part, "we held fast to common-sense conservative principles — protecting the health of the American people". Hello, we are talking "let him die" Republicans. Good for business I can see, but helping the American people? Come on. That would be helping blacks and Hispanics and gays. No way Jose. No "Socialism". That means every man for himself.

Who do these guys think they are talking to? And they have the nerve to mention "science". Science is a faith that Republicans no longer subscribe to. It has been discredited among the GOP "elites" like Sarah Palin and Rick Perry. They have their own "science". They "pray" and they "listen" and God talks to them. Or maybe not. But they will never give up. (see Prayer Bowl for needed rain and protective spells against dangerous witches).

I think trying to explain anything to Republicans these days might be pissing in the wind. It's not that they have their own ideas. They just don't want to know. The foundation of "conservatism" is keep things the same. What a rude shock when they find out the planet refuses to cooperate.

The Bankers that own both Political Parties in America have an interest in Climate Change Legislation because any Taxes collected would go to Bankers and Globalist Organizations.

The idea that the average citizen would benefit is laughable at best. Global Warming and Agenda 21 are being used to create Artificial Scarcities in the Energies Markets and create Corporate Monopolies.

rDean supports all that which makes him a Corporate Fascist.

The bankers own the Republican Party. We know that from their contributions.

The Democratic Party is too diverse to be completely owned by bankers. They don't usually give that much to blacks, gays or Hispanics. Republicans are 90% white and vote white. Much easier to buy.

Guess they won't even believe the GOP "elite".
