A "Meet The Press" Laugh-RIOT!!

Well, I don't imagine that they just showed up without SOME sort of outline of what the program would concern,

so for them to NOT make any statements regarding the subject was a pretty big clue.

" Meet the Press host David Gregory prodded Sessions repeatedly to offer specific examples of the policies Republicans would pursue to cut the deficit.

Sessions stuck with generalities – “living within our means” and forcing Congress to take time to read legislation before voting on it – while sidestepping repeated requests for specifics.

“That's a pretty gauzy agenda so far," Gregory said."

gee, firedoglake is known for it's impartiality in politics
Gee, SKIPPY......how 'bout a DALLASS-paper??!!!!!!!!!

"Democrats have accused Republicans of seeking a return to Bush-era policies that are, in their view, discredited.

Sessions handed them ammunition.

“We need to go back to the exact same agenda that is empowering the free enterprise system rather than diminishing it,” Sessions said at one point."

That's what I'm talkin' 'bout!

"Democrats are gleefully passing around a video clip of Rep. Pete Sessions’ (R-Tex.) appearance on “Meet The Press” this Sunday, and for good reason.

Pressed repeatedly by host David Gregory to explain exactly what the GOP would do to cut the deficit — should it regain congressional power — the National Republican Congressional Committee chair stammered and offered platitudes:

“We need to live within our means.”

“We need to make sure we read the bills.”

“We are going to balance the budget, we should live within our means and we should read the bills and work with the American people.”

“We need to make sure that as we look at all that we are spending in Washington D.C.”

“We have to empower the free enterprise system.”
