A florist caught between faith and financial ruin

The LGBT movement have proven with cases like this that there isn't enough room in this nation for both their agenda, and Christianity. So they have made it their goal to crush the Christian faith beneath their heels, and crush it into the finest dust.

Because this gay couple could have gone to dozens of other florists and gotten their wedding taken care of. But that wasn't good enough for them, and it wasn't good enough for the State of Washington or the ACLU. They wanted to send a message that Christianity is no longer to be tolerated, and if you resist the LGBT agenda, they will take away your business and everything you own.

We Christians have a moral obligation to help people every way we can. I propose we start with a boycott against the State of Washington for pursuing this fascist lawsuit to oppress religious freedom.

For this non Christian, it's crystal clear to me there's an assault on American values and Christianity in particular going on.

Doesn't seem to be any conflict.

"it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing."
-- Romans 13:5-6

Both sides in these situations annoy me. To the shop owner, take their money. Quit being an asshole. To the gay couple, go to a floral shop that will serve you. Quit being an asshole.

That doesn't apply and you know it. When the Romans insisted that Christians give homage to the Roman gods, Christians refused to make even token homage. So Christians were arrested and put to death. That is the situation applicable to what's happening now. You leftists are pushing the outer envelope now, and history will remember you as Christian persecutors. It won't be long before the actual killings begin.

Time was society would bend over backwards to accomodate the beliefs of Christians. Not so much since the radicals gained the upper hand. It's no secret that sodomites troll for discrimination just so they can teach upity Christians a lesson.

What sources do you have to give as evidence that Romans ever thought religion of greater importance than the law?

A faith in a god that hasn't done a damn thing for anyone in 2,000 years isn't going to help you. Going to college and picking a good degree will. God gave us all a brain for a reason.

The New Testament, and thousands of history books document that the Roman Empire persecuted the early Church and put thousands of Christians to death. Why don't you Google it instead of asking dumb questions?

Amen to this. If the couple already knew where the florist stood on this matter, then the florist should sue them for harassment because harassment is what the couple would then be guilty of.

God bless you and the florist always!!!

The rest of us are still obliged to turn the other cheek. Don't kid yourself. And have fun itemizing your deductions.
